A Teaching Plan How Old Are You? Shicheng Primary School Tian Li Teaching Contents 1. Key words: From 1 to 10. 2. And also ask and answer their partner’s ages. Teaching Aims 1. The students can count from 1 to10,and from 10 to 1 correctly. 2. The students can ask and answer their partner’s ages according to right Numerals. 3. The students can learn how to ask and answer their partner’s ages and count the Cardinal Numbersfrom 1to 10 freely. Key and Difficult Points: 1. How to know and pronounce the Cardinal Numbers from 1to 10 correctly. 2. The students can say out the Cardinal Numbers from 10 to 1 fluently. 3. Require the students to pronounce the pronunciation of the Plural Form of Nouns. Teaching methods: Playing the game; Singing the songs;Listening to the tapes;Practice in pairs;Chant;Watching the cartoon; Showing the PPT.and so on. Teaching Aids: Pictures, point read machine, PPT and printed papers Teaching steps: Step 1 Warm-up. 1. Sing the song “Are you sleeping?”. 2. Watching the cartoon “Happy birthday!”. 3. Greetings Step 2 Presentation. 1. New words: the Cardinal Numbers 1-5. 2. New words: the Cardinal Numbers 6-10. Step 3 Practice. 1. Play games. 2. Look and say. Step 4 Presentation and Practice. 1. Present the sentence patterns. - How old are you? - I’m nine 2. Present the dialogue. 3. Listen and answer. 4. Let’s sing. “How Old Are You?” 5. Listen and cirle. 6. Read and match. 7. Let’play. Step 5 Homework 1. Play the number game with classmates after class. 2. Count numbers from 1 to 10. 2
