Teaching aims(教学目标)
1.学习英文中姓与名的表达方式,熟练掌握英文中姓在后,名在前。;
2.复习英文中数字的表达方式,会熟练制作ID card。
Teaching steps(教学步骤)
T: We have finished most of Unit 1. And in this period, we will continue to finish Section B. But before that, I would like you to review what we learned before.
Step 1: Warm-up and revision
(1)Daily greetings to the students(日常问候)
(2)Revision and Lead in:
T: What’s your telephone number?
S: My telephone number is 6688-7799.
T: What’s your name?
S: My name is 吴宇博.
T: So 吴 is your last name. And 宇博 is your first name.
T: What’s your English name?
S: My English name is Mike Green.
T: So Mike is your last name. And Green is your first name.
T: The first name is the given name and the last name is the family name. And in English the first/given name is in front of the last/family name, which is different from Chinese names.
Step 2: Section B 2a
1.Read
a. T: Let’s move to 2a please. There are some English names there. Could you please read the names after me?
b. T: Let’s read them together now.
3.Write F for first names and L for last names
T: Please try to decide which names are first names and which names are last names.
4.Check the answers
5.Make some full English names
Would you please make some full English names with the names in 2a?
Step 3: Section B 2b
1.Read the messages and match them with the pictures.
T: Let’s go to activity 2b on page 5.What can you see in the pictures? Please discuss with your friends.
2.Have Ss scan the messages and circle the first names and underline the last names.
a. T: I think all of you can find the first names and the last names in the messages.
b. T: Can you write the last names in the correct column?
Step 4: Section B 2c
1.Match the names with the telephone numbers. Then find three pairs of friends in the name list.
2. Read and answer
a. T: Read the names and match them with the telephone numbers.
b. T: Discuss with your partner and see whether your answers are the same.
c. T: Now write down the three pairs of friends, and check your answers with your partner.
3.Check the answers
T: Let’s check the answers.
Step 5: Section B 3a
1.Make conversations
a. T: Can you ask for your friend’s name and his/her phone number?
b. T: Can you introduce yourself and your friends like this: I am ... This is my friend. His/Her name is ... His/Her phone number is ...
2.Look and find
a. T: Let’s go to activity 3a on page 6.What can you see there?
b. T: Yes, we can see an ID card. And there are names on it.
c. T: Can you find the first name and the last name on the card?
d. T: Please discuss with your friends.
3.Write the last names
a. T: I think all of you can find the first name and the last name and phone number on the card.
b. T: Can you write the information on the correct lines?
4.Check the answers

Fill in your own ID card.
a. T: I would like you to fill in the ID card with your own information.
b. T: Would you please show your ID card to your friends?
