Step 1. Presentation
Say: A good living area must have some nice places to go and see. In Beijing, the Palace Museum is such a nice place. Not only Chinese people but also foreign people like to visit it. There are lots of beautiful palaces in it and there are lots of fun and interesting things to see there. These things are put in different palaces. Let’s have a look.
2. Show the pictures to introduce works of art and palaces.
Step 2. Do the exercises:
Let the students read the poster and fill in the blanks in part A2.
Say:
Millie’s class will have a trip next Monday. Mr Wu wants the Ss to decide where to go. Read his note to Millie and look at the posters.
Then discuss in groups of four to help Millie complete the table in A 2 on Page 32.
Step 3 Presentation
1.Say: We cannot complete the table because we cannot get all the information about the opening hours from the posters. So let’s listen to the radio programme and then complete it.
2.Complete the missing information in part A2.
3.Let the students listen to the tape twice. Then check the answers.
4. Do Part 4 together, check with them in class.
Step 4 Free talk
T: We are the students of Baoying. If the exchange students come to Baoying, what places of interest can we suggest them to visit?
Let the students talk in groups. Then choose some groups to say.
Step 5 Speak up
