As we all know t he Internet changed our life enormously, there is no doubt about that. There are many advantages of the Internet that show you the importance of this new medium. What I want to say is that while Internet changed our life in a positive way, it has
Negative impacts on our daily life, too, this is especially true that children are often badly influenced by the internet.

The world of the World Wide Web and virtual space is going to become more important every year and everybody should be able to use this tool – especially children.
They should know how to get information, how they can buy something on the web, where they can meet people online.
They should be able to use the internet because if they are not, they are going to have great difficulties with getting on in their lives without knowing how to use the internet later on. Simply because it is a very powerful media which is going to be the main medium in the future.

I think that it is important that children learn not only to use the internet but also learn to have the right attitude towards the internet.
Parents should not just put their children in front of a computer and say “Oh well, that’s the internet, go on, have some fun and be quiet.” The internet was not made for children and so it should not be used as a babysitter.
You can never be sure what the child will get to see when it is online without an adult sitting next to it. There is so much harmful, offending and simply disgusting material on the internet, that it is – in my opinion – totally careless when you let your children surf through the net all by themselves.
Children are children and they are not adults. If you tell them not to look at – for example – pornographic sites, you can never be sure that they will not. Children are nosy ones – at least most of them are – and most children will go and have a look at pornographic materials on the internet. The only way to kept children from seeing harmful things on the internet is to limit their time of playing on net and supervise them. Once a while. Keep checking on the websites that the children have been surfing. If they go to the websites they are not supposed to go, give them a warning first. They will face consequences if they don’t do what they are told.
In a word, it is very important for parents to supervise their children when they surf on line. In my opinion, the best supervision is a good communication between parents and their children.

While any computer is connected to the network it is described as a "node" on the Internet, and with appropriate software we can use even a desktop computer to "serve" files to the rest of the world. It is the simplicity of this networking which has caused it to seize the imagination of users and to grow exponentially.
The Internet, and particularly the World Wide Web, has revolutionised the way we communicate. It is likely that fax machines will go the way of the telegraph and the telex, and while the Internet in ten years will probably look quite different from that which we see now, it is certain to have become even more pervasive.
The most commonly used parts of the Internet today include email, newsgroups, File Transfer Protocol, Internet Relay Chat, and of course the World Wide Web. Other areas which are rapidly growing include Internet telephony and video conferencing.

The impacts of Internet media are not only seen in the whole media industry, but also in Chinese society. So a close study of the development of the Internet as mass media in China is both necessary to the Internet media itself and to the whole industry. It is also an important way to record the profound changes of the society.

When talk about Internet as mass media, the author mainly focus on those websites with legitimate rights to publish news online. Some of the websites are media oriented, and others are pure commercial websites without media background.

In modern life, Internet has become an important part in our daily life. We use it for working, studying, and recreation, even business. I think many people get relaxations from Internet by playing on-line games and some of them lose their selves in it. Not only on-line games, but also PC games.

Why do people love to surf the Internet and play games so much?

First, although web had gotten into our life for about ten years, for some people it’s still a new thing, because of that, they are very curious about the web, want to know more about it. So the web can attract their attention easily.

Second, we might can not or it’s difficult to get some information from other Medias, but using the Internet, we can find it. And it’s much more convenient: just type a website or one or two words is OK.

Last and I think it’s the most important reason. In the Internet, people can do many things they want to do; however, they can’t do it in reality. Such as to kill someone, to fly, to be a king or something else. They can get a lot of joys in the fictitious world.

There are also many other reasons for the question that why do people love to surf the Internet and play games so much, for example, they can communicate with many other people from all over the world.

There are too much things can talk about around the topic, so that’s all of my speaking.

Today I am very glad to be here to express my views on the effect of Internet.
First of all, before I refer to the effect of Internet. I 'd like to mention an event, which happened last year. One day, one of my colleagues rang me up and told me excitedly that she had got the Bachelor's Degree. She was overjoyed. Maybe a lot of students right here in the hall will regarded it as a piece of cake to get the B.A. Especially for the college students who have studied in a university for 4 years. But I want to say that my colleague got the B.A.not by attending classes in the university, but by listening to the instructions on the Internet.
Thanks to the Internet, we all have an unprecedented access to the sea of knowledge; we all have this kind of opportunity to learn college courses; we all have time to find a balance between our study and our work. We can learn the knowledge anywhere with the help of a computer and an inexpensive modem; we can resolve our problem through Emails, Discussion Group, or BBS; we can know the news all over the world from various websites on the Internet. Therefore, Internet offers us rich resources for our daily life. No matter what it is, planning a vocation, attending a training class, changing our jobs or finding new place to live in. We will rely on the Internet as we do on telephone.
Thanks to the Internet. The whole world become smaller and smaller. Internet brings people from different areas together and the communication becomes so convenient. I can make friends with people through the nation, and even all over the world. I can communicate with them through QQ or MSN;I can also send E-mails to them or express my ideas or tell them my hobbies on BBS. Somebody had said: “Now the whole world changes into a small village, we can call it a global village.” So sometimes I think my net friends are not far from me, they just sit beside me.
Thanks to the Internet. We human beings benefit a lot from the Internet. Why do I say so? You know nowadays a lot of people are suffering from various strange diseases. They can’t help themselves and even doctors don't know how to cure them. But some warm-hearted people may help them if they announce this on the Internet. In this way a lot of people may save their life and live in a much happier life.
A proverb says: “Every coin has two sides," As we all know that the system of Internet is not a hard stone. It’s very easy to break down any time. Nowadays there are some hacker who often attack the website for stealing the personal information about others. There are some students who often absent from classes for playing online games in the cyber cafe. There are some people who often use the electronical-commerce for swindle on the Internet.
Therefore, as a college students and a responsible man. I really hope that the Internet system can be modified. So that it can be orderly system. And we should make some lows and regulations and promote people's awareness and consciousness.
In this time of challenge, in this time of opportunity. Let us use the Internet effectively and then, we will be able to declare with pride one day: We can be the master of the Internet.
