Teaching procedures
Step 1 Show the new words:
pass, fall, hit, alone, low, locked, notice, through.
Step 2 Use the following sentences to consolidate them.
(1) A train goes through the tunnel.
(2) Alice jumped through a hole.
(3) A tiger jumped through a fire ring.
(4) Sunlight shines through the window.
Step 3 Do Part B1.
Step 4 Have students read the whole article and do Part B3.
Step 5 Have one students read paragraph 1-2. Have students answer the following questions.
(1) Where did Alice see a white rabbit?
(2) What did the rabbit say?
(3) What was the rabbit going to do? Can you guess
Step 6 Have students fill the blanks
One sunny day, Alice sat _____ a river with her sister. Then she heard a strange sound. She looked
_______ and saw a rabbit ______ a coat passing ________. The rabbit took a watch _____ ______its pocket and looked at the time. It surprised Alice a lot.
Step 7 Have students read P 3 and answer the following questions.

(2) Where did the rabbit go
(3) What did Alice do then?
(4) Why did she do that?
(5) If you see such a rabbit, would you follow it like Alice did?
Step 8 Have students read P 4-5 and answer.
