1 How is Li Lin today?
She has been sick for two days.
She is fine today.
Li Lin: I have been sick for two days. I had to miss school.
Wang Mei: Oh poor Li Lin. How are you today? Are you OK?
Li Lin : Yes. I' m fine today, but I still have a cough.
2 What does Wang Mei think of physics?
She thinks physics is a headache for her, she doesn, t understand it at all.
Wang Mei: Good for you. I also like geography, but physics is a headache for me. I don, t understand it at all.
3 What advice does Li Lin give to Wang Mei about physics?
Li Lin advises they can do their homework together. She can help Wang Mei
Li Lin: It seems hard, but don' t worry. T can help you.

miss /ms/ vt.错过，没赶上；思念
miss意为“错过，没赶上”，后跟名词、代词或动名词作宾语, 即 miss sth.或 miss doing sth. o
e. g. He missed the early bus.
他没赶上早班公共汽车。
miss还意为“想念”。
f. g. She missed us very much.
她非常想念我们。
since /sns/ prep.自以后；从以来
conj.因为；由于；既然；自以来
since作连词引导时间状语从句，主句常用完成时态，从句中的 动词一般是短暂性动词，常用一般过去时态。
g. g. Mary hasn，t phoned since she went to Beijing.
玛丽自从去了北京还没有打来过 。
since作介词，跟过去的某一时间点连用，如具体的年、月、日 或钟点等。
h. g. They have been here since October.
自从10月以来，他们一直在这里。
since意为“既然”，引导原因状语从句。
i. g. Since we have no money, we can，t buy it.
既然我们没有钱，我们就不能买它。
matter / m»te(r)/ n.问题，事情v.有关系，要紧
matter 用作名词，常用句型是 What's the matter (with sb. ) ? 意为“(某人)怎么了？ "，可用What's wrong (with sb.) ?替换。
j. g. —What's the matter with you?你怎么了？
—I have a headache.我头疼。
matter用作动词，常用句型是It doesn't matter.意为“没关 系。”
