教 学 设 计 课型 Listening and speaking 教材 分析 This unit give us a background --“Betty and lingling are gong to skate”. Then it leads to the usage of how to talk about weather and how to express possibility. Student may imitate and give their own weather report. 教学 目标 1. To understand conversation about weather 2. To talk about possibilities. 知 识 与 能 力 1.Key vocabulary: cloud, shower, snow, storm, cloudy, rainy, snowy, thick, ice, joke, might, temperature, minus, degree, although, wet, terrible, wish, probably, come on 2.Key structures: may, might 3.Key sentences: 1) — What’s the temperature? — It’s between minus five and minus two degrees! 2) What’s the weather like in..? = How is the weather in …? — It’s snowy (cloudy, rainy, sunny, windy ...). 3) … although this year it snowed a lot. 4) Come on, better get going! 过程与 方法 Interactive approach ; communicative approach. 情感度 与价值观 To enjoy the experience of cooperation; 教 学 过 程 教学步骤 活动目标 教师活动 学生活动 1.Lead-in To learn the new words and learn the rules of the words 1. Use a spider gram with “weather”in the middle and elicit the type of weather to write in the bubbles around it . 2. show them the words about adding “y”. 3. Ask students what’s the weather like?” show them how to answer . 1. Ss learn the new word . 2. Answer the question by using the new words. 2.Focus-on To learn how to describe weather 1.Use the numbers to describe ”what’s the weather like ?” Ss practice how to describe the weather. 3.Reading To improve listening skills. Describe the weather of each city, according to the table 2.Read the questions, listen to the dialogue, and tell the answers. Ss talk about the temperature and weather in different places. 4.Language points To get familiar to the language items in the passage. 1. Teacher show the examples and let’s students find out the rules of the examples. 2. Give some exercise and consolidate the grammar rules. Ss learn the language points. And do the exercise . 5.Writing To practice their speaking skills ,and put language into use. 1. Monitoring their task . 2. Have students work in groups. Ss work in groups and correct their mistakes . Act out their weather report. 板书 设计 Words about weather : Structure : What’s the temperature? it’s between ~~and ~~ What’s the weather like? It’s may/ might ~~ How is the weather? Weather report: 作业 布置 1. Finish all the relevant exercise 2. write the weather report of next day. 教学反思: 一直以来,人们对语言知识能力要求不高,因为中学英语简单,不需要太好的语言功底,只需要良好的教学技能就可以。其实时代在进步,社会在发展,同样英语作为认为人们最广泛的交际用语之一,更是随着高科技的迅猛发展而日新月异的变化。所以要求英语教学与时俱进,本节课主要谈论的话题“天气”是人们生活中最常接触的,因此教学素材应取之生活,还原生活,所以本节课从天气状况到温度到适宜的活动一一展开,一节课的课时明显不够,所以课前应让学生做好单词及语法的预习。
