Material analysis:This part is about help.It tells a story about escaping from Hui Tailang.The main vocabularies are:big,small, short,long.The key structures are:I’m .I have .I can help you.Students should know how to use the main sentence patterns in their daily life.I can extend the teaching context to love our earth. III. Analysis of students:Students in Grade 4 have mastered some words and easy sentences,so they can read some short dialogs.They are also likely to express their ideas in these sentences.They desire to learn new knowledge.The teacher should cultivate their interest further and enhance their ability of listening and speaking. IV. Teaching Objectives: 1. Knowledge Aims: a. To help students to listen,read and master the four-skilled words and understand the meaning of words in the lesson. b. Enable students to learn the new sentence patterns: I’m .I have .I can help you. c. Students can listen and read the dialogs correctly. 2. Abilities Aims: a. Enable students to use these words and sentence patterns in their daily life. b. Students can act out the dialogs and learn to help each other after class. 3. Emotion Aims: a. To arouse students’interest in English. b. Students can cooperate with others positively and complete the task together. c. To keep a habit of helping each other. d. To learn to ask for help and get to know that each has his merits. V. Key points: a.Enable students to master the words. b.To help students to learn the sentence patterns: I’m .I have .I can help you. VI. Difficult Points: a. Master the key words and how to use them correctly. b. Students can understand the usage of them,such as:I’m .I have .I can help you.And they can make dialogs with them. VII.Teaching Methods: a. IX.Teaching Procedures: Steps Teaching Activities Purpose of designing Step one Pre-Task a.     Greetings and have a free talk. b.     Sing a song. To make students step into the classeasily and warm-up,elicitthe theme Step two While-task a.     Learn words and know how to use them. b.     Have a chant to consolidate the words and sentences. c.      Say you say me, then say Fei Yangyang to know how to express themselves. d. Show CAI and watch a Video about Fei Yangyang escaping from Hui Tailang. e. Listen and answer questions. f. Read and practise dialogs,then act them out in groups. To present words. To stimulate the students’ interest in learning English and learn to use language. To present and consolidate the main sentence patterns: I’m .I have .I can help you. Step three Post-Task a.     Ask what the story tries to tell us,let them discuss it in groups. b. Watch a Video and let students know about our earth and earthquake. c.      Discuss in groups what we can do to save our earth. 1.Continue to strengthen the main points. 2.Students have emotional education. 3.Extend the teaching context and learn to loveour earth.
