一、 教学目标
1、知识目标
(1) 使学生能听、说、认、读sheep, lamb, goat, cow, horse, hen等单词。
(2) 初步感知:“What are they? They are…. How many….How many……”等句子,学生能听懂并理解其意思.。
2、能力目标:
(1) 能听懂Let’s do中的指令并做出相应动作.,如Shear a sheep.
(2) 能区分农场的动物, 培养学生灵活运用所学知识进行交流的能力. 3、情感目标
(1) 培养学生注意观察、认真模仿的良好习惯和主动竞争的竟识。
(2) 激发学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立学习英语的自信心。
(3) 培养学生的合作交流能力。
二、教学重、难点
1、本课时需要重点掌握农场上常见的牲畜的名称。
2、难点是“horse”和“house”的发音区别,“how many”和“how much”含义的区别及lamb 的发音。
三、课前准备
1、教师准备一幅本单元的挂图,以及本课时所需的六张词卡。
2、教师准备一个杯子和一些米,一把剪刀。
3、教师准备录音机和录音带。
四、教学过程
Step 1. Warm-up
(1) Sing an English song :"Old Macdonald"
(2) Daily talk:
T: Old MacDonald had a farm ,on that farm he had some ducks .Can you tell me some other animals ?
S:…
(3) Let's do (Ss stand up ),Do as I do.
Fly fly fly like a bird.
Climb climb climb like a bear.
Jump jump jump like a rabbit.
Walk walk walk like an elephant.
Step 2. Preview
T: Listen , Mew Mew ,What is it ? S1:Cat. T:Yes, you're right. It's a cat. Quack Quack, Guess ,what is it ? S2:It's a duck. T:Yes, you're quite clever.[
Step 3. Presentation
(1) T: Old MacDonald had a farm , I have a farm ,too. (show a picture )This is my big farm .What can you see in the picture ?Ss:I can see …
T:Now, listen (学母鸡叫) Guess, What is it ? S1:… (It's a hen ) read it one by one.
How many hens can you see ? S2:4 T:What are they ? S:They are hens. (教师手拿装有米的杯子做喂鸡状) elicit "feed the fens"
(2) (学奶牛叫声) T:What is this ? Do you know ? S:… (cow) cow cow (有节奏的拍手) T:Who can do as I do ? S3: … T:Who want to have a try ? (教师示范做动作) Milk milk milk a cow (师生一起做) T:You all did very well. (一起用手势表扬自己)
(3)There is an animal , it looks like a donkey .(驴) It runs fast. What is it ? Can you guess ?
S :Horse . T :Right ,it is a horse . horse horse (个别学生操练)(男女生一起操练)

(4)T:(轻声说)sheep sheep ,can you guess what animal is it ? S1:…绵羊
S:Yes. sheep sheep (强调 sheep单复数相同)师手持剪刀,做剪羊毛状 (边说边做)T:Shear a sheep.

(5)T:(学山羊叫)Do you know what is it ? S:It's a goat goat goat
read group by group.(出示一幅母鸡的图片)Ask:What are they ? They are …
(6)T:Can you guess what is his baby ? S:…lamb Here b is silent (b不发音) lamb (look at my mouth ) lamb lamb , practice in pairs (师做手势,生操练)
hold-hold-hold a lamb ,boys do it please,then girls please. Do together .
(7)Listen to the tape ,repeat it please. Then listen it again ,read loudly.
Step 4. Practice
(1) Game:教师按顺序放卡片,让学生猜一猜下一张。
T:One, two, three … what is it ? S:…
T:One, two, three, four … what is it now ? S:…
(2)请学生上台模仿各种动物的叫声并做相应的动作,让其余学生猜,猜中给予奖励。
Step 5. Consolidation
(1) Draw a picture your favourite animal you have learned today ?
Then show it to us and say “My favourite animal is … ”
(2) 教师播放Let's do part ,师生一起边吟唱边做动作。
