Apply sentence patterns

l Changing these sentences by using various sentence patterns.
The original sentences:
1. We will pay a visit to the museum tomorrow, and it will leave a lasting impression on us.
2. You are not allowed to make loud noise and take photos in the museum.
3. The activity is important, so we should be punctual.
4. You should keep the museum clean and tidy. The staff will be happy.
5. We can acquire more knowledge of Chinese history in this way.

The improved sentences:
1. … , which will leave a lasting impression on us.
2. Making loud noise and taking photos are not allowed in the museum.
3. It is because the activity is important that we should be punctual.
The matter is so important that we should be punctual.
So important is the activity that we should be punctual.

Step 4
Avoid Chinglish

l Show students some pictures, which include some Chinglish. Let the students correct them.
l Give students seven sentences, which also include some Chinglish. Let the students find out and correct them.
