教学内容
The topic of this unit is “Amazing things”. In this period, we will learn unusual Phenomena and events. Students may know the concept of things that is unusual. Also, we will lead students t去掉 to use adjectives to describe amazing things.
教学对象
The seventh grade students have not learned words of unusual Phenomena and events . They will watch a video of “Alice in the wonderland” and talk about the amazing things that they have heard. They can learn more words by exchanging the information they have got.
教学目标
1.To introduce students to unusual Phenomena and events.
2.To understand the concept of things that is unusual.
教学重难点
1. To use adjectives to describe amazing things.
2. To remember some language points
3. Improve spoken English by free talk about a trip.

Discuss and finish Part A on p.57

The teacher gives the students some pictures about more amazing things in the world and let them guess the correct answers.

Practice the dialogue in Part B on Page 57 and then let the students make a similar dialogue with the partner in groups using the adjectives in previous task.

Show the cartoons for students.
Ask:
1.What did Eddie see?
2. What did Hobo see?
3. Why didn’t Eddie think it is a plane？
Let Ss practice the dialogue and act it out.

Group work:
Let the students watch the video of amazing animal world and learn more words and phrases.

Give Ss 8 min to do Ex in study paper.
Check the answers.

One group presents their ideas of amazing things while other groups offer some comment on the ideas.

Finish Part A on P.57

1.Look at the pictures discuss with their partners and give the right answers.
2.Try to use some adjectives to describe them.

The group leaders lead the members to make a dialogue by using different adjectives and the amazing things in part A,or the information that they discussed just now or something they previewed .

Watch the cartoons carefully and answer the questions. Read the dialogue and try to act it out in pairs.

Watch the video discuss in groups and present their own ideas.
