Step1. Pre-reading
1.  Looking and saying
Work in pairs. Look at the photos and theme parks and predict the contents of the text.
 2. Talking and sharing
 Has your partner ever tried any activity mentioned above? Why or why not?
 Step2. Reading
1.Reading aloud to the recording
What is the meaning of the title “Theme Park – Fun and more than fun”.
Now please listen and read aloud to the recording of the text THEME PARKS ——FUN AND MORE THAN FUN.

2.Skimming:
Listen to the tape and find out the main idea (or topic sentence) of each paragraph.

3.Reading to identify the topic sentence of each paragraph
Skim the text and identify the topic sentence of each paragraph. You may find it either at the beginning, the

middle or the end of the paragraph.
4.Reading and transferring information
What is the difference between a theme park and an ordinary park
Various theme parks are mentioned in the passage .  
Then what are they ?

5.Reading and understanding difficult sentences
As you have read the text times, you can surely tell which sentences are difficult to understand.
