Reading (1)
Teaching aims:
1. According to the map, to master expressions of directions.(能根据地识路，掌握方位的基本表达）
2. To understand the names of animals and their habits and characteristic.(能了解动物的名称及基本习性）

Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Free talk.
1. Boys and girls, I’m Miss Zhou. Nice to meet you.
2. Today we’ll have a class together. Are you ready for our class?
3. Very Good. Please answer some questions first. Do you like animals?
4. What animals do you like best? Why?
5. Where can we see all kinds of animals?
6. Is there a zoo in our hometown Rudong?
7. Sunshine Town has a zoo. It’s Sunshine Zoo. Would you like to visit the zoo with me?
8. OK. But we should learn about the directions again, or we’ll lose our way.
Step 2: Revision
1. Review the words of directions.
2. Tell the places in correct directions.
Step 3: Come to “a trip to Sunshine Zoo” and show the learning aims
Step 4: Learn some new words and phrases, learn about the animals in the zoo..
Step 5: Listen to the tape, practice reading.
Step 6: Do with some exercises.
Step 7: Production
Ask the students to come to the front to show the way.
