动机,作为外语学习中直接驱动学生学习的一种内部动力, 被公认是最有影响的学习者个体差异因素之一。本文拟从介绍动机的定义、分类、理论框架等入手,从内在因素和外在因素两方面分析影响中学生学习动机的因素,并从采用灵活的教学方法、帮助学生树立合适的目标以及充分利用电脑和网络等方面对激发中学生学习动机的策略进行探讨。激发学生强烈的学习动机可以提高学生的学习热情,从而有助于提高教学效率。

Abstract
Motivation, as an internal impetus, which motives students’ learning desire directly in foreign language learning, is widely accepted as one of the most influential factors of individual diversity. The thesis attempts to start with the introduction of the definition, classification and theoretical framework of motivation, analyze the internal and external factors influencing middle school students’ motivation and probe into the strategies for stimulating middle school students’ motivation by adopting flexible teaching method, helping students to set a proper goal, and making use of the computer and Internet etc. It can improve students’ learning enthusiasm and be helpful to enhance teaching efficiency to stimulate students’ strong learning motivation.
