I like music that I can dance to. 教学设计 Section A(1a-2d) 一、教学目标 (1) Knowledge Object In this unit, students-learn to express preferences using target language with the relative clause. (2)Ability Object To train the students’ listening, speaking and writing skills using target language with relative clause. (3)Moral Object Music is a kind of language that can be understood by the people all over the world. 二、 教学重难点 (一)教学重点 To help the students learn and grasp the key vocabulary words and target language. (二)教学难点 To train students’ listening,speaking,reading and writing skills. To train students’ communicative competences. 三、 教学策略 采取任务式教学,通过让学生完成听力选择、判断对错和记录信息等活动,引导学生关注重点信息,感知目标语言;采取情景式教学,通过pair work问答式交际活动,group discussion小组讨论合作活动和role-play角色扮演活动等方式,让学生自主操练和综合运用目标语言。 四、教学手段:  多媒体。 五、教学过程 Step 1:Lead- in 教师通过多媒体展示图片,学生自由发言后,让学生练习句型: A: Which kind of music do you prefer ? B: I prefer music that has great lyrics(歌词). /I love music that I can sing along with. /I like music that I can dance to. 【设计意图】 通过音乐这一学生喜爱并熟悉的话题引出本课主题,激活学生已有知识,打开思路,为后面描述音乐的活动打下基础。 Step 2:What kind of music do you like?(1a) Talk about music with students: Your sentences: I like music that__________________ I like music that is written by Guo Feng. I like music that sounds beautiful. I like music that we can dance to. I like music that isn’t too low. I like music that has good lyrics. 【设计意图】 This activity introduces the key grammar. Step 3:Listen. Check (√) the kinds of music Tony and Betty like.(1b) 1. Play the recording for the first time.Make sure students tape only. 2. Play the recording a second time.Students finish 1b. 3. Students show the answers. 【设计意图] This activity provides students with listening practice using the target language. Step 4:Practicing Have students practice the sentences: A: What kind of basketball player do you love? B: I love basketball players who are very tall . /I love basketball players who play basketball well. Show some pictures,then students look at them and say: I like the music that is quiet and gentle. My favorite musician is Beethoven(贝多芬). I like musicians who play quiet and gentle music. Who is your favorite? Why ? I love musicians who write their own music. Jay is one of them. 【设计意图】 Improve students listening and speaking skills. Step 5:Pair work Have students practice the sentences in groups: ---What kind of musicians do you like? ---I like / prefer / love musicians who write their own songs. /sing well /sing the song clearly /have nice voice /sing different kinds of music /sing quiet and gentle songs /look nice/cool … 小结 I like some friends. Some friends like sports. I like some friends who like sports. 【设计意图】 This activity provides students with oral practice using the target language. Step 6:Musicians and singers(2a). 1. Make students understand the instruction of 2a. 2. Play the recording for the first time .Students listen to the tape only. 3. Play the recording a second time.Students circle T for true or F for false. 4. Check the answers. 【设计意图】 This activity provides students with listening practice using the target language. Step 7:Listen and complete the sentences.(2b) 1. Play the recording .Have students listen and fill in the blanks . 2. Check the answers. 【设计意图】 This activity provides students with listening practice using the target language. Step 8:Role-play the conversation.(2d) 1. Teach students to practice the words and phrases:suppose,smooth,spare,in that case,war and prefer. 2. Show the background of the conversation:Jill and Scott are talking about their favorite music and movies.What are their opinions?Let’s read the conversation in 2d. 3.Have students work in pairs.Read and act out the conversation. Jill:What are you doing this weekend,Scott? Scott:Not much. I suppose I'll just listen to this new CD I bought. Jill:Oh,what CD is this? Scott:Well,it's all music. There's no singing.I like smooth music that helps me relax after a long week at work. Jill:Sounds nice.Well,if you have spare time ,do you want to watch a movie with me?The director is really famous. Scott:Hmm,depends which movie.I only I like movies that are funny.I just want to laugh and not think too much. You know what I mean? Jill:Oh,in that case,I'll ask someone who likes serious movies. Scott:What's the movie about ? Jill:It's about World War II .I prefer movies that give me something to think about. 小结 The Attributive Clause (定语从句) 人 (n.) + who + 从句 物 (n.) + that + 从句 who / that 在定语从句中做主语时, 谓语动词的单复数应与先行词保持一致 I prefer shoes that are cool. I like a pizza that is really delicious. I love singers who are beautiful. I have a friend who plays sports. 【设计意图】 This activity provides students with oral practice using the target language. Step 9:拓展延伸 用that 或 who填空。 1.Lin Hui likes books ____ are short. 2.Mike prefers clothes ____ are comfortable. 3. Rose loves foods ____ are unusual. 4. I like people ____ are interesting. 5. She doesn’t like movies ____ she can’t understood. 6. I like friends ____ play sports. Step 10 Homework 1.The man is my brother. He is standing under the tree. _______________________________________________ 2.I like music. I can sing along with it. _______________________________________________ 3.He missed the train. He usually catches this train. _______________________________________________ 4.Do you know the girl? She is talking with the teacher. _______________________________________________ 5.Li Li likes the singers. I have a friend who plays sports. 七、、教学反思 本课利用多媒体手段进行教学,充分发挥了多媒体集声音、图像为一体及容量大的优势,激发了学生的学习兴趣,活跃了课堂气氛。我认为备课不仅仅是要备教材,而且要备学生。以学生为主体,强调以学为主,而不是以教为主。要充分调动学生的学习积极性和自觉性。组织学生进行合作学习和探究学习,运用一切可能的因素调动学生的课堂积极性。
