Unit 8 part one Grandma to the Rescue
教材分析
本课是北京市课程改革实验教材 北京出版社《初中英语》九年级上册教材第八单元的第1课，话题为看病就医。本课为本单元的第一节课，主要讨论常见疾病的症状以及治疗办法，帮助学生纠正不良的健康习惯，树立正确的健康意识。最后运用功能句、描述病情的词汇、治疗建议的词汇来进行医生和病人之间的对话练习。

设计原则
我在设计这个活动时，遵循以下原则：
1，能在课堂活动中用简短的英语进行交际；
2，能与他人沟通信息，合作完成任务。

教学步骤与方法
Step1：
Ask Ss to look at the pictures on P62, and reminds them of the healthy habits they have already known.
设计意图:
激活学生已有单词储备，了解学生已有关于看病的知识，为课堂最后的输出做准备。

Step2：
Ask Ss to ask and answer the questions on P62 in pairs to see if they have some healthy habits.
设计意图:
通过问答，帮助学生初步了解自己的健康习惯并且了解如何保持健康。

Step3：
Lead Ss to imagine what will happen if they don’t have such healthy habits in order to teach the new words and expressions about health problems by using some pictures, such as cough, fever, runny nose, headache, toothache, stomachache and sore throat.
设计意图:
引入本课话题，教授新词汇。

Step4：
Shows pictures about the health problems and pretends to have one of them to see what advice Ss may give to the teacher.
设计意图:
教师引导学生针对看病问题给出简单的建议。同时，处理部分词汇，如：dentist, temperature，为输出扫清障碍。

Step5：
Ask Ss to work in pairs and make a short dialogue about giving some advice according to their life experience.
设计意图:
继续熟悉话题，操练对话。

教学效果：
学生对本课的话题比较熟悉，大部分学生操练起来比较容易，但生词比较多，教师需要加大单词操练的频率。整堂课，学生的积极性较高，完成效果较好。
