Step1: Greetings
Step2: Introductions and Requirements
1. The teacher introduces self to the Ss firstly.
2. Choose some Ss to do self-introduction to the whole class
3. Give some requirements to Ss when they study English in this term
Step3: Words and Expressions
1. Ask Ss to turn to Page 162 and look at the words that are related to lesson 1
2. Ask Ss to read the new words after the teacher
3. The whole class read together
4. Choose two Ss to read the new words
5. Correct their pronunciation
Step4: Explain each part
Part 1:Pair practice
1. Be sure that each student understands the task of this part firstly
2. The teacher explains the conversation to Ss first and then makes up the conversation with one student
3. Ask Ss to work in pair and practice the conversation
4. Call on a few pairs to perform their conversations for the class
5. Correct their pronunciation
Part 2.3: Group Practice
1. Ask Ss to form groups of four and do self-introduction to three different members in their groups
2. Do the conversation with a student by asking two questions: What’s your name?
Where are you from?
3. Ask Ss to form groups of four and greet each other by telling their names and where they are form
4. Choose some groups to act out their conversations
5. Give some comments on their performance
6. Explain grammar points about statements with be to Ss
Part 4.5:Say it and wire
1. Have Ss look at the information about Alex and Katherine in the cards
2. Role play the first conversation with a student , shoring the class how to take turn playing A and B roles
3. Ask Ss to work in pair and practice the conversation by using Frank’s ID card and Wang guo’s ID card
4. Choose some to act out
5. check their mistakes
6. Finish part 5 with the whole class

1. The whole class read the letters of the alphabet together first
2.Ask Ss to work in pairs and finish the following exercises

Part 8:Listen and say it
1. 1. Have Ss look at the card and be sure that each student understand it
2. the whole class read the dialogue together.
3. Give five minutes to Ss and let them fill in the passport with their own information
P0art 10.11:Write and Teamwork Task
1. Be sure that Ss understand the task of Part 10
2. ASK a volunteer to read the names in alphabetical order
3. Ask Ss to work in teams of four and alphabetize their names
4. Call on some teams to read their lists out loud

1. Review how to greet people.
2. Review to introduce yourself and others.

1. Copy new words of lesson 1 in the exercise book
