How to make our city clean
I like living in the city. I live in Nanjing with my parents. There are a lot of shopping centres, meseums, libraries and cinemas in our city. And so on. As everyone knows, our city isn’t clean now. The air isn’t clean. The streets are messy and dirty. What can we do to make our city clean? We can go to school by bus and by metro. We can plant more trees. They can help keep the air clean. We shouldn’t cut down trees. We shouldn’t throw rubbish anywhere. We should put rubbish in the bin. Don’t use too many plastic bags. We can move some factories away from our city. If we can do these things, the air will become clean, the streets will become clean too. Then our city will become more beautiful.

Save trees
Trees are useful. But today people cut down too many trees to make things. So the number of trees is smaller than before. Many birds have no place to live. The air gets dirty. The trees are crying. What should we do? We should save trees. We should not cut down too many trees. We should plant more trees to keep the Earth clean.

Last weekend
It was sunny and hot last weekend. I got up at half past six. I read English and then ate breakfast. I helped my mother wash the plates. Then I did my homework and cleaned my room. I went shopping with my mother in the afternoon. Then I played table tennis with my friends. In the evening I watched TV and read a book. I really had a busy but interesting day.

A visit to Beijing
I took a trip with my parents for the holiday. We went to Beijing by train. Beijing is capital of China, It’s a big city. It’s very famous. There were many people and many tall buildings in Beijing. We visited the Great Wall, the Palace Museum, the Tian’anmen Square and the Summer Palace. And we took many photos. The food was very delicious in Beijing. We ate Beijing Duck. I bought some presents for my friends. After that, we were tired , but we had a good time in Beijing.

Five years ago, I was seven years old. I was a pupil. I was in Grade One. Every day, I took the school bus to school. I ate lunch at school. I could make friends at school. Mrs Brown’s Changes
There are great changes about Mrs Brown. Twenty years ago, Mrs Brown wrote letter to her friends. She read newspapers for news. She used the telephone at home to call people. Now she can write emails to her friends on the Internet and she also reads e-books. And she can use a mobile phone to call people anywhere.

Today is Sunday. It’s sunny. Lucy and Lucy go to the park. There is a parrot show in the park. They see some interesting parrots. There are a lot of beautiful flowers too. Lucy knows many signs. My Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year is the most important festival in China. We also call it “Spring Festival”. My family and I like buying some new clothes and food before it. Most of families get together and make dumplings and tangyuan, have a big dinner On Chinese New Year’s Eve. Then, we light some firecrackers and fireworks. Then, we watch TV together. Before twelve o’clock, we eat dumplings. We like dumplings very much. After that, we say “Happy Chinese New Year” to my parents and grandparents. We get red packets from them. Children like the festival very much, because they can have nice food and wear new clothes and have red packets. At the festival, we always have a good time.

The Lantern Festival
The Lantern Festival is a popular festival in China. It is in February or March, fourteen days after Spring Festival. People usually go to watch lanterns in the streets or in the park. There are many lanterns. Children often hold little lanterns in their hands. They’re very excited. Sometimes, we can watch fireworks at night. They are so beautiful. At the festival people eat tangyuan. In China, people also call it yuanxiao. It means family reunion （团圆）and happiness.
