7B Unit 10 I’d like some noodles. Reading Birthday Food Around the world Good afternoon, everyone. Now I’ll say Go For It 7B Unit 10 Section B Reading Part. A Birthday Food Around the world . I’ll prepare to say the lesson from three parts. Ⅰ Analysis of Teaching Material “Birthday Food Around the world” is the main topic of this lesson. Students will learn some food. The topic in this lesson is closely related to students' real life, After learning the lesson, students will know more food words and the students also know some deeply meaning about some birthday food. Ⅱ Analysis of Students The Students have learned English for about 1 year and most students have mastered some easy words. They can use English to express some their feelings . And they will be interested in the topics, which is related to their real life. It’s helpful for our study of this lesson. However, some students aren’t good at English because they are afraid of learning and they didn’t work hard. They don’t use English often to express themselves and communicate with others. Some students aren’t active in the class; they don’t want to open their mouths because they are afraid of making mistakes. Ⅲ Teaching Aims 1.Knowledge & skills: ①Students will be able to master some words. ②Students will be able to master some sentence structures. ③ Learn to talk about the food around the world. 2.Process & methods: ①Students will be able to master some new words. ②Students will be able to master some important phrases,. ③Lead the students to do some reading practice. Ⅳ Teaching Key points and Difficulties 1. Teaching key points: ① Students master words . ② Students master some sentence structures. 2. Teaching difficulties: Students can talk about the food around the world.. Ⅴ Teaching Methods According to New Course Standard of English, and our school's new teaching pattern(三课五环),combining with the language level of Ss, I take five steps: 1. Students learn by themselves; 2. Discuss in the groups; 3. Students show their ideas: 4. Teacher give the correct answers and explain some important language points; 5. Do some exercise. In the teaching process, I will apply blackboardand multi-media computer to arouse the Ss’ interests in learning. Ⅵ Learning Strategies The students can master the words and target language better by their self-study , cooperation ,discussion.
