Unit  1 I'd like a cold drink Part 1 Teaching aims :   1.  To get the students to grasp the expression of offer and demand something. 2. learn new words and sentences 3.get fun Teaching  contents:    Sentences :       Would you like some buns?    How many cakes do you want?    I'd like some dumplings.    I want some buns.    Words and phrases:    cup cake\ cold drink\ have some dumplings\ feel hungry\ bun \ buy Teaching preparations :     Some pictures/CAI Teaching steps : Step  1   Greetings   T:  Good morning, boys and girls.    S: Good morning, Miss Chen    T: Glad to see you again!    S: Me too!    T: What's the weather like today?    S: It's sunny!    T: That's right, how are you these days?    S: Fine, thank you! Step  2   Warm-up activities    1.  Say something about their summer vacations.    T: Boys and girls, now you have had a very nice summer vacation, right?    S: Yeah.    T: So can you tell me something about that? Maybe some interesting affairs?    S: OK, let me try.    2.  Sing some songs\ rhymes learned last term.   3.  Review some knowledge learned last term.     Step 3  Presentation   1.  Create a real circumstance to bring out the words and phrases naturally.     T (pretending to be hungry ):  Boys and girls, I am hungry now, what should I do?       Ss:  You can go to the shop and buy something to eat.     T :  OK,then I will go to the shop. Let's see what's in the shop?             2.(CAI) shows some food in the shop.      T: What are they ?       S: Cup cakes,buns and cold drink.      T: Yes, let's learn them together,OK?      S: OK.      cold drink have some dumplings      bun   3. Learn the three words one by one.   4. Learn the rest three phrases:      T: Are you hungry? If you are, please pat your stomach and say" feel hungry".      S: Feel hungry.      T: If you are really hungry now, you can go to a shop and buy the things you want with your money, yes?      S: Right.      T: Now, let's buy a cup cake.  Step  4Practice  1. A game--guess guess guess.    T: Let's play a game, OK?    S: OK.    T: Please watch carefully, I will make some gestures, and you should guess what am I eating , please guess quickly and correctly,are you ready?    S: Go!     2.  Listen to the tape and read the text .    3.  Write the words on the exercise books. Pay special attention to their writings.                                            Part 2 Step  1  Revision  1.  Review the words learned in last period.      2.  A game--Guess guess guess.      T shows some word cards and let the student to guess them one by one. Hold a competition between boys and girls.  Step  2  Presentation  1.  T create real circumstance to help the children learning the sentences of Part A.     T: On a Sunday afternoon, some students go to the Hua Nan Street to enjoy the well-known snacks there.Let's see where are they going.  2.  (CAI) shows the pictures of Part A . Learn the sentences with the help of the pictures. I'd like to buy some cup cakes. How many cakes do you want? I want six cake.    Look! It's a shop.   I'd like a cold drink. Yes, let's buy something to drink.  Would you like some buns? I'm hungry.  I want some buns. I feel hungry too. I'd like some dumplings.   1.Anne, have some cakes. 2.Thank you, Helen.  3.  Practise the dialogues between T and S, S and S. 4. Show their dialogues in front of the table. 5. T provides real condition and help the children to form dialogues by themselves. 6. Listen to the tape and read after it.                                         Part 3 Step  1  Presentation 1 .  (CAI) shows the picture and sentences of Part D, help the students to read Part D by themselves, underline new words and phrases .       It is a sunny Saturday afternoon.     The children are at the beach, having a picnic.     After playing  for a while, they are now hungry.     Anne goes to the candy store and buys an ice-cream.     Peter is eating a piece of strawberry cake.      Lingling is having an apple and Mingming is eating a sandwich.     They enjoy eating at the beach.  2. Pick new words and phrases out , learn them one by one. Step  2  Practice  1. Read the passage by themselves.  2. Listen to the tape and read after it.  3. Recite and retell the passage. 4. Part E Let's write   (CAI) shows the pictures of Part E.    T helps the children to form sentences according to the pictures.    1 Lingling is eating an apple.    2 Peter is eating a piece of cake.   3 Anne is eating an ice cream.    4 Mingming is eating a sandwich. 5.  Part F Let's have fun     Arrange the sentences according to the pictures in (CAI).    1.Help the children to understand the story according to the pictures.    2.Arrange the sentences. Step3.Do the exercises in the exercise book 5
