重点 使学生了解藏羚羊濒临灭绝的现状,以及我国政府和世界自然保护组织为拯救藏羚羊所作的努力。
难点 深入了解导致珍稀动物灭绝的原因,探讨拯救野生动物的措施,口头表达并组织成短文。

教学过程设计
Step 1 Warming up :Hold an competition about showing students’ homework. They need to collect some information about the endangered animals before this competition. Each group chooses one student to show their opinions。
教师活动:.指导学生用多媒体课件或网页的形式展示课前作业,并给予相应的鼓励
学生活动:学生使用多媒体课件的形式展示自己的作业,其余人对此评价或说出自己的心得。
Step 2 Presentation (导入): Show a video to arouse students’ awareness of protecting the antelope。
教师活动:播放关于保护藏羚羊幼崽的新闻视频,考虑到学生词汇的限制,在观看之前将所有可能影响学生理解的词汇先行处理,之后引导学生表达自己的见解,激起感情的共鸣。
学生活动:看视频,尝试表达自己的见解,引起感情的共鸣。
Step 3 Fast reading (泛读)
I: T:Open your books, turn to page 52, read this passage quickly and match each paragraphs with it's main idea.
屏幕展示如下:

教师活动:教师在屏幕上展示出问题,并指导学生如何快速而准确地找到每段的主题句,并查看学生练习完成情况。
学生活动:学生根据教师的指导快速浏览课文,了解课文大意,找出各段的主题句,完成相应的练习。。

Step 4 Careful reading
I:T:Now let’s look at the person on the screen .Do you know him? His name is Jiesang suonandajie.Now let’s know more about him. Now answer my question: what happened to him?
Do you think Jiesang is a hero? Yeah, though he died, he will still live in our heart and people will remember him forever.
教师活动:指导学生阅读课文了解杰桑,并通过网页了解更多关于他的信息。
学生活动:通过阅读第一段了解英雄杰桑为保护藏羚羊而英勇牺牲的经过,之后通过网页了解到更多关于杰桑•索南达杰的英雄事迹,进一步体验到了保护藏羚羊斗争中的残酷性。
II:T:Jiesang died for protecting the antelopes, but why did the poachers kill the antelopes?
Now that the business can bring so much money to the poachers, is it legal or illegal? Of course illegal. Facing the fact that so many antelopes are killed, do we just let it happen and do nothing? (提出这个问题激起学生对盗猎者的愤慨,既而引发学生思考:面对如此多的藏羚羊被猎杀,我们应该视而不见吗?从而激发学生的环保意识). Fortunately, the Chinese government has taken some measures. But what are the measueres and achievements? 学生活动:根据教师指派任务和屏幕上的导图,在细读课文的基础上将其有用信息进行归纳整理。

教师活动:提前在问卷星网站上设置好测试题目,并指导学生打开网站进行检测,之后根据学生做题的情况进行讲解。
学生活动:根据教师的指导进入相应的网站,完成相应的练习测试。

教师活动:播放成龙拍的一则保护濒危动物的公益广告的英语视频,并启发学生从中获得启示,进行了深层次的思考。
学生活动:通过视频、音频的效果加深学生对保护濒危动物的迫切性有了更深的认识,并通过讨论进一步学会表达自己的见解。
Step 7: Homework
Your homework today: there are 4 tasks for you to choose from. I’m sure all of you can do a good job.
A Write a passage about the result of your discussion , using proper conjunctions if necessary.
B Make a poster to raise public awareness of wildlife protection.
C Find more information about the volunteering work in animal protection.
D Find more information about heroes like Jiesang on the Internet
教师活动:布置作业,使学生明确要求。
学生活动:学生根据自己的水平及兴趣选择合适的作业,并在课后自动形成小组,选定组长,明确分工,课后准备,以待下节课上课展示。对于B、C和D项作业则需要由组长分配去图书馆或上网查找相关资料,最后对资料进行筛选,并以海报或者多媒体课件的形式来展示。这个作业的设计充分考虑到了学生讨论和小组合作学习的重要性,培养学生信息技术应用能力,让学生在探究中学习,在合作中提高。
