tie的用法:它和draw（扳平比分）用法近似，指“打成平局”，常常出现在新闻标题中，如：Trinidad and Tobago ties （with） Sweden in its opener（特立尼达和多巴哥队首轮比赛逼平瑞典）。

另外，head指“用头顶球”，如果您强调的重心是“头球”，则可用header来表示。

Box（禁区）也可用penalty area来表达，“禁区”的设置是为了保护门将，在这一区域内，对方球员不能冲撞门将，如果门将在这一区域拿球，对方球员不得与门将有身体接触。

这句话里，有好几个足球术语：yellow card（黄牌）；free kick（任意球）；goalkeeper（守门员）；equalizer（拉平比分的得分）。看懂这几个词，这段话的意思就很好理解了，即：多哥队的队长阿巴洛吃了第二张黄牌被罚出场，随后李天秀发出的任意球越过防守的人墙，穿过多哥队守门员落入球网，韩国队在比赛的第54分钟把比分扳平。
对于前三个词，想必您已甚为熟悉，这里着重谈一下equalizer（足球比赛中扳平比分的得分）。Equalizer源于动词equalize（使一致；使平等），如to equalize job opportunities（使工作机会均等）。在足球比赛中，equalize指“打成平局”，如报道中的话也可改写为：South Korean equalized with Togo in the 54th minute.
