高效课堂教学设计 课题 Unit1 A land of diversity 教学目标 1.     1 1 .To know the meanings of the new words and phrases 2.     2. To learn the diversity of races and cultures in America 3.     3  To develop the students’ reading ability by skimming and scanning the passage. 4.To gain an awareness of diversity and tolerance.通过学习本课,学生获得对于多元化的认同与容忍。(情感态度、价值观) 教学重点和难点 1.To enable students to learn how to talk about the important events in Californian history. 2.To enable students to explain the reasons why California is such a multicultural community in the 21st century. 教学工具 blackboard, computer, ppt 教学方法 self study and group work Teaching procedure Teaching segment Teaching activities preinstall purpose Ⅰ.Lead-in (3’) Before class, the teacher show some pictures about America to students..then search some information about American in brainstorm. They will be interested in what they will learn in this class. 在情感上激发学生兴趣,对本节课所学内容充满期待。 Ⅱ.Presentation of teaching objectives (1’) Ask the Ss to read the aims aloud They will read excitedly. 让学生对本节课所学内容有一个清楚的认识。 Ⅲ.Pre-reading (3’) Ask the Ss to learn some words. One is through a picture; the other is shown directly. They gained a basic impression of the words whose meanings can’t be guessed in the context. 扫除阅读过程中的部分障碍(有些单词是没办法在文章中猜出来的)。 Reading (18’) First, the teacher will let the Ss read some information about skimming. After that, ask the Ss to use what they have just learned to skim the text. Second, ask the Ss to read the text again. And then, do Ex1 on their answers with The Ss will read the reading material carefully to learn the skills of skimming. Most of the Ss can use the skills to skim the text. The Ss will know more about the history of California. 让学生掌握跳读和猜词技巧并培养学生的阅读能力。除此之外,学生还会对加州的历史有更多的了解。 Post reading (15’) The teacher will give the Ss some information shown on the screen and ask them to retell the text using their own words. After that, the teacher will ask the Ss to discuss two questions which are very open. Finally, the Ss will summarize what they have learned in this class. The Ss will first retell to themselves and then retell it to their partners. The Ss will discuss their answers with their group members. The Ss will gain a general knowledge of this class. 通过复述课文这个环节,让学生把课上所学用口头的形式再输出,训练了他们的说的能力。 通过小组活动讨论问题,学生的发散思维得以发挥,训练了他们的思维能力和团队合作意识。 让学生总结他们课上所学并回顾巩固课上所学知识。 Ⅳ.Homework Ask the Ss to rewrite the text in their own words, paying special attention to the time order. The Ss will easily write out their own passage. 通过对课文的缩写来加强对本文知识的掌握。
