Different Ways of Raising Children
Usually parents respectively have their own thoughts and characteristics, which cause their different teaching methods to raise children. As for me, I receive both the two teaching methods from my parents.

My parents have different attitudes on correcting my mistakes. When I was a young girl, I was a little afraid of my father due to his strict demand to me. As I made mistakes, he would be angry with me and said something to me in a loud voice. I knew he just wanted to make me learn a lesson and do not make the same mistakes again. This was my father's method to show his love to me. But to tell the truth, I preferred my mother's ways. Compared with father's seriousness, mother was gentler and more considerate then. She preferred to comfort me a lot when I got something wrong.

My parents have different opinions on cultivation of my hobbies. My mother tends to push me to read more books and think a lot. There are some different views from my farther, and he wants me to practice more and improve my manipulative ability. In my light, both of the opinions can benefit me a lot. The two can complement each other. There is a matter I always keep in my mind, to remind me of becoming a round person. One day I arrived home after school, and I happened to meet the discussion of my habits and development between my parents. They held the different opinions and argued with each other. Finally they drew a conclusion that I should do as I like.

In addition, my parents have different thoughts about settling matters. When I faced tough situation, my mother could let me ask someone for help, as she thought more people produce more strength and wisdom to have efficiency on doing things. On the contrary, my father could say you should overcome it by yourself and learn to be independent.

My parents' different opinions and teaching methods affect me a lot. My ways of thinking and behaving now have both their reflections, and they also correct my incorrect behaviors often.
