We all have a strong desire to succeed. For some the desire is great than that of the average people. In fact, everyone wants to be successful so very few are willing to pay the price of hard working. Success is an attitude and has no really secrets. It all start with your belief system. Your belief system starts with what you feel about yourself. You must at first believe in yourself. On your journey to succeed, you will find that there are no shortcuts. You will never be able to completely master every detail of your life. Attempt to do so will only lead to disappointment. Besides, it’s necessary of you to have clear goals.
When you read the reference book, you’d better make a mark the place you have any doubts. 则 you have any doubts是定语从句, 先行词为place, 选项B或C都正确。
3. 【解析】选A。

Would you like to have a walk(swim, bath, talk)with me?
It is a waste of time reading such a novel.
4. 【解析】选A。 OK, it’s a deal. 好的, 成交, 就这么定了; What did you say? Oh, it’s up to you.
at home在家, 任凭, 不拘束; at sight观察; at heart本质上, 内心里; at will任意。
6.【解析】选A。
10. 【解析】选A。 that he was studying with his friends last night为同位语从句, 说明reason的内容; he gave为定语从句, 从句中缺少宾语, 故用关系代词that。
She didn’t tell me the reason the offer.
A. what she refused B. how she refused
C. she refused D. why she refused

Dear Mike,
Thank you very much for your concern. Last month several places in Sichuan were blanketed with thick yellow fog. Everything around disappeared from our sight. Some highways were closed. Traffic jams were commonly seen in the streets. Many people, especially children and seniors, even found it difficult to breathe. As a result, local hospitals were crowded with people who had problems with their noses and lungs. Part of the cause was the dry weather, but the severely damaged environment contributed a lot to this nightmare. Personally, I didn’t get any health problems in the haze because I stayed mostly indoors. But to make a significant change we really have to do more to protect our environment. To live a better life we have to push on with the economy, but it would be meaningless if we have to achieve it at the cost of our breathing air.
Regards!
Yours,
Li Hua
