Sometimes in our life, you need to find a special friend, someone who changes your life just by being a part of it, someone who makes you laugh until you can’t stop, someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world, and someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it. This is forever friendship. When you’re down and the world seems dark and empty, your friend lifts you up in spirits and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full. Your friend gets you through the hard times, the sad times and the confused times. If you turn and walk away, your friend follows. If you lose your way, your friend guides you. Your friend holds your hand and tells you that everything is going to be okay. And if you find such a friend, you feel happy and complete because you need not worry. You have a forever friend, and forever has no end.

Social Practice
Social practice has been more and more popular in schools. Senior school students are asked to enter society and get some ideas of it. Surely, social practice has many advantages. Firstly, social practice can offer students a chance to contact society and meet different kinds of people. In this way students can gain some precious social experience, which will be useful to their future career. Secondly, students can apply what they have learned in class to practical work, thus knowing themselves more clearly. Thirdly, social practice can bring them some financial reward and make them more independent of their family.
However, some problems may arise if no correct guidance is made. For example, some students get overly interested in social practice and want to work full-time and earn more money, thus neglecting their studies. And some students are likely to get in touch with the dark side of society, which will affect their future studies.
In order to carry out social practice smoothly, students should first know its objective. They should put their studies in the first place and see social practice just as a useful supplement, so they ought to try to strike a balance between social practice and their studies.

In the English class before graduation, the English teacher Jane talked about the great importance and influence about friendship. Besides, she asked her students to remember the time spent here in the school.
When it is time to recall those beautiful days we have spent here in class together, I can’t help thinking of my fellow classmate Li Hua, the very person who gives me much help when necessary.
I still remember that night two years ago when I suddenly fell ill. Li Hua carried me to the nearby hospital. He took good care of me while I was in hospital. Later, he managed to help me with my lessons. Without his help, I would have fallen behind other students.
It is Li Hua who has made me really understand that sometimes in life, we need to find a good friend who shares your happiness and sorrow, one who makes you believe that the world is really good. I have so many best wishes for him. I wish my friend Li Hua would be happy forever!

The passage states the benefits and the worry of social practice for senior school students: it enriches students’ social experience and rewards them with money, but it may affect their study and values.
Knowledge is a treasure, but practice is the key to it. Nowadays, more students have opportunities to join in various social activities, including military training, voluntary work in a community service, a part-time job in a supermarket, etc. . They learn how to serve, how to co-operate and how to solve problems. Gradually they will become strong-willed, kind-hearted, and enthusiastic in study and life.
Two years ago, I organized a team of classmates to a Charity House where orphans and the disabled live. There we told stories to the blind; we drew beautiful pictures for the deaf; we helped friends in the wheelchair go around. It was the visit that made me realize that helping others should not be only an empty talk and that life is worth cherishing.
Of course, we must strike a balance between study and social practice, never allowing social activities to take priority over schoolwork. After all, senior school stage is a vital period for students to obtain knowledge and get prepared for their future. Therefore, I strongly suggest that we make full use of our spare time and holiday to participate in that. Only in this way can we refuse to shut ourselves in the campus!
