The Lab has already established an innovative research team of professors, associate professors, postdoctoral researchers, PHD students and graduate students, including the distinguished expert of the national “one thousand talents” program, the national supported talent of Guangdong “thousand, hundred, and ten” talents program, the leading talent of Guangdong Province and Germany Humboldt scholar. The Lab has a high research level in functional and structural ceramics, ceramic high-temperature coating technology, high-speed and efficient processing theory and technology and hard material tool manufacturing theory and applications. The funds for research projects reach over 20 million RMB. The total value of equipment reaches over 50 million RMB, including high-speed machining center, surface profiler, high speed photography, SEM, TEM, AFM, hot pressing furnace, the plasma discharge sintering furnace, vacuum and protective sintering furnace, PVD coating, and other modern materials and equipment. The laboratory space is about 1000 square meters. The Lab takes the advanced materials and green and efficient processing as its research feature. The main research directions include (1) nano-ceramic and nano-ceramic composite materials; (2) photoelectric high-performance ceramics; (3) the performance of the functional materials under mechanical shock and high temperature environment; (4) ceramic high-temperature wear-resistant coating; (5) high-speed and efficient processing theory and technology of tough materials; (6) materials processing theory and simulation; (7) green processing technology. Salaries and Other Benefits(1) The salary for the postdoctoral researchers is between 80-140 thousand RMB per year.
