The other day I had unusual experience. I was walking along a street when I saw a lady knocking down by a car. But the driver just drives away. Immediately I rushed through the street to help him. I put her on my back and carried her to a hospital nearby. On reaching the hospital, however, she started to say I was to be blame for her injury and demanded I paid the hospital bills. That really surprised me! Unless I tried to explain, she insisted that I was the very person who was responsible for the accident. I was total confused. Is it right or wrong to help other?

三、 阅读理解
21. There was a gardener who looked after his garden with great care. To water his flowers, he used two buckets. One was a shiny and new bucket. The other was a very old and dilapidated one, which had seen many years of service, but was now past its best.
Every morning, the gardener would fill up the two buckets. Then he would carry them along the path, one on each side, to the flowerbeds. The new bucket was very proud of itself. It could carry a full bucket of water without a single drop spilled (溢出). The old bucket felt very ashamed because of its holes: before it reached the flowerbeds, much water had leaked(漏水)along the path.
Sometimes the new bucket would say, “See how capable I am! How good it is that the gardener has me to water the flowers every day! I don't know why he still bothers you. What a waste of space you are!”
And all that the old bucket could say was, “I know I am not very useful, but I can only do my best. I’m happy that the gardener still finds a little bit of use in me, at least.”
One day, the gardener heard that kind of conversation. After watering the flowers as usual, he said, “You both have done your work very well. Now I am going to carry you back. I want you to look carefully along the path.”
Then the two buckets did so. All along the path, they noticed, on the side where the new bucket was carried, there was just bare(光秃秃的)earth; on the other side where the old bucket was carried, there was a joyous row of wild flowers, leading all the way to the garden.
9. What does the underlined word “dilapidated” probably mean?

22.
Sport is not only physically challenging, but it can also be mentally challenging. Criticism (批评) from coaches, parents, and other teammates, as well as pressure to win,can create an extra anxiety for young athletes. Stress (压力) can lead to tiredness.
The sport is one where one can take valuable experiences. Young athletes can, for example, learn how to cooperate with others, make friends, and gain other social skills that will be used throughout their lives. Coaches and parents should be aware, at all times, that what they said can greatly affect their children. Youngsters may take their parents' and coaches' criticisms to heart and find shortcomings in themselves.
Coaches and parents should also be careful that youth sport does not become work for children. The outcome of the game should not be more important than the process of learning the sport and other life lessons. In today's youth sports, young athletes may be worrying more about who will win instead of enjoying themselves and the sport. Following a game, many parents and coaches focus on the outcome and find faults in youngsters' performances. Positive (积极的) advice should be provided regardless of the outcome. Research shows that praise has a greater effect on learning than criticism. Criticism can create high levels of stress.
72.What does this passage mainly tell us?
A. Sports.
B. Athletes.
C. Stress on young athletes.
D. Challenge.
73.How does sport benefit the young athletes in this passage?
A. To make their bodies stronger.
B. To help their coaches.
C. To work for their coaches.
D. To learn how to get on well with others.
74.Many coaches and parents would rather criticize the young athletes________.
A. because they believe praise is of great use
B. because they believe the young athletes can learn more social experience
C. because they did as their own coaches and parents had done
D. because they believe criticism is good to the young athletes' early development
75.What should coaches and parents do?
A. Let the young enjoy sports.
B. Make the young win the first.
C. To be more strict with the young.
D. To make sports more challenging.
