1.1a学生读方框里的单词，根据已填表格用“What qualities are important for each place?”提问来交流看法。

【语法提要】
1.for
介词for意为“对于”。如：
It\'s very important for us to study English well.
对于我们而言，学好英语十分重要。
2.inexpensive
inexpensive为形容词，意为“廉价的；不贵的”。同义词为cheap，反义词为expensive/dear。如：
The sweater is inexpensive.这件毛衣不贵。
3.kind of
kind of在这里意为“种类”。如：
This kind of pen sells well.这种钢笔好卖。
kind of 还可表示“有点儿”。如：
I feel kind of tired.我感到有点儿累。

教学反思
本课时进一步通过听说训练让学生听懂游客所询问的信息，学会谈论所在城市的特色。本节课的听力训练比较多，学生在学完Section A的基础上，听懂应该没问题，关键是在平时的听力训练中，教师要有意识地渗透一些听力技能，让学生养成一些好的听力习惯。
