Step 1 Greeting and Revision (About 5 minutes)
Greet the whole class as usual.
Revision.
Show some pictures of fruits, vegetables and food, ask students to say out their names as quickly as possible.
Practice the drill “Do you like…?”
e. g. :T:Do you like apples? (Show a picture of apples)
S:Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.
Step 2 Role-play (About 8 minutes)
T:John’s birthday dinner is next week, his friends are thinking about the food. Read the dialogue on page 32、2d. Then, I’ll ask three students to role-play the conversation.
After acting out the conversation, let the students make their own conversations like that in groups.
Step 3 Grammar Focus (About 15 minutes)
1. Hold up some fruit, ask and answer questions with the students.
T:Do you like oranges. (Point to a boy)
S:Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.
T:Does he like oranges? (Ask the class)
Ss:Yes, he does. /No, he doesn’t.
2. Write down the drills on the blackboard:“Does he/she like …? Yes, he/she does./No, he/she doesn’t. ”“Do they like…?”Yes, they do. /No, they don’t.
3. Analyze the differences between countable nouns and uncountable nouns, then sum up the nouns the students have learned and classify them.

Step 4 Practice (About 5 minutes)
Read the five sentences on page 33,3a. Then underline the correct words in the brackets.
Put the following sentences into the right order in 3b, then make a conversation in pairs.
Step 5 Make a food survey (About 10 minutes)
T:I’m going to have a dinner party, I’ll invite all of you to come to my party. So I want to buy some fruits, drink and food, but I don’t know what you like and what you dislike. Now please help me find I out what you like and don’t like. Then, fill the information you get in the chart on page 33, 3c.
Let students work in groups, then report their survey to the teacher.
Step 6 Homework (About 2 minutes)
1. Go over the new words.
2. Do the exercises in the exercise book.
