All residents: Rules for living in Parkrise Flats
We all want to live comfortably and safely here, so here are a few simple rules which all residents should follow.
Rubbish
Rubbish collection is on Tuesdays. Please do not leave rubbish bags out before Tuesday as birds and animals can break into them and they smell.
Washing
There is a washing line for every flat in the garden next to the car park. Please only dry your washing on these lines so it does not disturb (干扰) people in the ground floor flats.
Cleaning
The main stairs are cleaned twice a week by the Association, so please try to keep them tidy and clean and do not leave furniture or bags on the stairs or in the hallways.
Lights
The main lights are on a timer and they stay on for five minutes whey you press them. Please tell the Association if any lights are not working.
Noise
Residents are asked to keep noise to a minimum. Loud music, etc. can disturb other people and the Association will get in touch with you if you make too much noise.
Safety
Make sure the main outside door is always locked and do not let anyone in to the main building unless you know who they are. Sometimes people try to get in to the main stairs and then break into flats, so do not let people in unless they are coming to see you.
Parking
Each flat has one car parking space. These are numbered and are at the back of the building. Do not use another resident's space. If you have more than one car you will have to park it on the road. Do not park where you are blocking entrances.

My mother died about two years ago from cancer. She died within six months of being diagnosed (诊断).
While in hospital she was quite clear in her mind until the very end. One night at home I wrote a letter to my mother and asked my wife to read it to her the next day. It basically said that she was leaving much to the world.
My mother was a simple woman with a high school education, and hardly worked much in her life other than being a housewife. So, when my wife read the first part of the letter to her she was surprised that she could leave much to the world.
The letter went on and said everything that I did came directly from her. I sincerely conveyed (表达) that anyone can be whatever they want in life and that life can be managed and enjoyed no matter who someone is. The letter explained that she told and showed me these truths in life.
My wife told me that my mom would ask her to read the letter to her every now and then and she would usually just silently listen. She never asked me about it. There were some things we did not have to use words to convey; we were beyond much of that in the hospital. I believe the letter simply helped her realize her value in the world.
I meant everything I wrote in the letter. Every day when I help others, I remember that it is her direction that started it. I will never let her down by not giving my all to those who I teach and direct.

China is a great country with the largest population in the world. In order to solve the population problem, our government carried out one-child policy (政策) before. When it is carried out for some time, many people not only see its advantages but also disadvantages.
From 2019, two-child policy is put into effect. In my opinion, two-child policy is good. First of all, two-child policy is the gift for some only child (独生子). For some families, maybe the parents are only child and they also can have only child. Besides the loneliness of their child, when their child grows up and they grow older, their child marry an only child girl, the burden (负担) on their child and his wife is too heavy.
