The author Jane Austen perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at that time and demonstrated her own views towards love and marriage, that is marriage should based on both money and love, while the latter enjoys the more important position. Pride and Prejudice is one of the masterpieces of Jane Austen. This work selects material from daily life and vividly reflects the conservative and occlusive British town life and world during the period between the end of the eighteenth century and the beginning of the nineteenth century. It is different from other literature work at that time, during when the sentimental novels and artificial method were popular in society.
