5、he research.Finally,I would like to thank my family for their support,love and encouragement.AbstractIn the English Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition),the key competency of students in English has been defined as the key goal of English teaching.English reading is an importan

6、t part of high school English teaching and it plays an important role in cultivating students English key competency.At present,how to promote the development of students English key competency through English reading teaching is becoming the focus of English teaching.Based on the theory of Multiple

7、 Intelligence and Schema theory,this paper investigates the current situation of English reading teaching in a senior high school in Dezhou by using classroom observation,interview and questionnaire.The research questions in this paper are listed below:(1)What is the current situation of English rea

8、ding teaching in senior high schools?(2)What are the problems in English reading teaching in senior high schools from the perspective of English key competency?(3)How should teachers solve the problems in senior high school English reading teaching under the guidance of key competency?Through interv

9、iews,we can understand the implementation of English key competency in teachers*English reading teaching in senior high school.Through the questionnaire,we can understand the implementation of English key competency in senior high school English reading teaching from the perspective of students.Thro

10、ugh investigation and analysis,this paper finds that the following problems exist in the current high school English reading teaching:(1)Senior high school English teachers pay more attention to the explanation of basic knowledge and neglect the cultivation of students ability.(2)Senior high school

11、English teachers do not pay attention to the cultivation of students*cultural awareness,which makes students intercultural communication ability not improved.(3)Teachers neglect the status of students in the teaching process,resulting in students low enthusiasm for learning.(4)In the reading teachin

12、g,the teacher neglects the guidance of the students reading strategies,resulting in the students poor reading performance.In view of the above problems,this paper puts forward corresponding teaching suggestions for the cultivation of the four dimensions of English key competency.iFinally,this paper

13、summarizes the limitations of this survey and makes recommendations for further research in the future.The author hopes that this paper can promote the improvement of English reading teaching in senior high school and the overall development of students*English key competency.Key words:English key c

14、ompetency;Senior high school;English reading teaching11摘要普通高中英语课程标准(2017版)中,已把培养学生的英语核心素养规定为 英语教学的课程目标。英语阅读是高中英语教学的重要组成部分,对培养学生的 英语核心素养起着十分重要的作用。目前,如何通过英语阅读教学促进学生英语 核心素养的发展正在成为英语教学的研究重点。本文基于多元智能理论和图式理论分别采用课堂观察法、访谈法和问卷调查 法对德州市某高中高一年级的英语阅读教学进行研究。本文的研究问题列举如下:高中英语阅读教学的现状如何?(2)按照英语核心素养的要求高中英语阅读 教学还存在什么样的

15、问题?(3)高中英语教师如何在英语阅读教学中贯彻实施英 语核心素养以提高高中英语阅读教学的效果?通过课堂观察法,本文试图了解高 中英语阅读教学的真实面貌。通过访谈法了解教师在高中英语阅读教学中对于英 语核心素养的实施情况。通过调查问卷从学生的角度了解高中英语阅读教学中英 语核心素养的实施情况。通过调查分析,本文发现当前高中英语阅读教学中主要 存在以下问题:(一)高中英语教师更多关注基础知识的讲解而忽略能力的培养。(二)高中英语教师不注重学生文化意识的培养,使得学生的跨文化交际能力得 不到提高。(三)教师在教学过程中忽略了学生的主体地位,导致学生学习的积极 性不高。(四)阅读教学中教师忽略了对学

23、research.1.1 Background of the ResearchWith the development of society and social economic integration,the exchanges between China and the world have become increasingly profound.As Chinas internationalization deepens,English learning becomes more important.Reading as an important way of inputting E

24、nglish knowledge plays an important role in English learning.However,the current English reading teaching cannot satisfy the needs of social development.The National English Curriculum Standard in 2011 defines the goal of English reading teaching as improving students reading skills and cultivating

25、students language perception ability.Therefore,English reading teaching as a key component of senior high school English teaching requires that students must not learn language knowledge only.As a key component of English teaching,English reading teaching is not only to learn language knowledge,to o

26、btain text information,to understand the interpretation of texts,but also to enable students to master reading skills and improve reading.However,under the pressure of the current college entrance examination and the influence of the traditional reading teaching concept,there are still many problems

27、 in senior high school English reading teaching.First of all,in the traditional reading class,the teacher pays attention to the teaching of the target language and ignores the subjective initiative of the students.That is to say,the traditional teaching mode pays too much attention to the learning o

28、f English grammar and language knowledge points and ignores the development of students actual language using ability and the cultivation of independent thinking.The new curriculum standards require teachers not only to teach students to understand reading materials but also to develop students read

29、ing skills.For example,most students can understand the content of the article under the teachers explanation.1基于英语核心素养的高中英语阅读教学研究However,when students encounter new reading materials,it is very difficult for them to use reading skills independently to analyze the structure and subject of the articl

30、e.For students,English reading based on English key competency can improve their reading skills,stimulate their reading interest and help them build confidence in reading,so it is conducive to the overall development of students.In the traditional English reading teaching process,the teacher is the

31、master of the whole class,and the students are tired of coping with mechanical exercises and taking notes.This is not helpfi.il for stimulating students reading interest and improving their reading performance.As a result,students lose interest in reading and are not active in the class.Different fr

32、om the traditional reading methods,the reading method based on the English key competency is very beneficial to improve the students*interest and make each student develop comprehensively.It can develop students potential by encouraging students to actively participate in a variety of classroom acti

33、vities.In the reading class,students are divided into different groups and use their reading skills to complete reading tasks.The key competencies-based reading method provides students with more appropriate reading activities to guide them towards the goal of improving their reading skills.By activ

34、ely participating in these classroom activities,students5 English competencies can be greatly improved.Second,in the reading,the language knowledge of the students is overemphasized and the cultivation of other abilities is neglected.In fact,every student has different intellectual abilities.If the

35、teacher can develop the potential of the student,then every intelligence of the student can develop to a certain extent.However,under the pressure of the college entrance examination,students machinery makes the language ability of students not well developed.The corresponding intellectual developme

36、nt of the students has also been restricted.It is impossible for students to get comprehensive development in English reading.Finally,the traditional teaching method of senior high school English reading,although being used a lot of years,has not met the requirements of the new curriculum standards

37、so far.In English reading teaching,the new curriculum standards require students to learn to read independently,which is different from the traditional reading teaching philosophy.Therefore,it is necessary for senior high school English teachers to change the method of English reading teaching and t

39、f English teaching,thus achieving breakthroughs in English reading teaching.On March 30th 2015,the Ministry of Education of China released a report entitled Opinions of the Ministry of Education on Deepening Curriculum Reform and Implementing the Primary Tasks of Setting High Values and Cultivating

40、Persons.The concept of Key Competencies is proposed in this report.Also this concept is placed on a high position and it is the basis of deepening curriculum reform and setting high values and cultivating persons,aiming to be the key to future practice.The future education key competency stress that

41、 students should strengthen their personal cultivation,social relations and national cultural feelings and focus on individuals free development.It also aims to cultivate the ability to skim reading materials and guess meanings.And reading is the foundation of other skills,and it is the highlight of

42、 all kinds of English exams at all levels.The level of reading determines the success or failure of English tests.However,in the current teaching of ordinary senior high school English reading,many English teachers handle reading very simply,their method is very single,and the process is usually bor

43、ing.Some teachers simply read,translate and explain the knowledge,while completely ignoring the cultivation of students ability and greatly reduce the interest of students in reading.Since then,scholars and researchers began to perform research on key competency.With time going on,the framework of k

44、ey competency is brought up.Therefore,scholars and researchers begin to pay attention to the key competency of each subject.In 2016,English key competency was brought up by Professor Wang Qiang.However,at the moment researches on English key competency are at the beginning and there are not many res

45、earches on English key competency related to Senior High School English Reading Teaching.1.2 Purpose of the ResearchSince the reform of the new curriculum,the educational concepts and educational behaviors of the majority of English teachers have changed significantly,and the classroom teaching has

49、sroom should be more conducive to students*optimization of English,so that they can fully develop their learning potential through self-study and discussion and other active learning methods,while forming effective learning strategies and cultivating individual learning methods and styles.This resea
