教学目标:
1.知识目标:学生能牢记该课新单词,记住新短语、句型、句子和语言知识点
2.能力目标:学生能听懂对话录音,会和别人展开对话,能就类似话题,创造性地自编对话
3.情感目标:让学生了解并学会礼貌问路,形成生活礼貌的习惯
教学重点:

2. How to show directions in English ?

2. Speak out the directions clearly
Teaching procedures:
1. Leading in
1.1 Play a cartoon video and ask Ss to find out what the two characters are doing in this cartoon video.
2. Presentation
2.1 Asking for directions: show some Chinese sentences about asking for directions, and invite several Ss to translate them into English.
2.2 Ask Ss to do the substitution exercise.
2.3 Show Ss signs about traffic, and lead them to imagine the meaning of each signs.
2.4 Show Ss two maps and guide them to use these signs for giving directions.
2.5 Read two sample dialogues, and then provide Ss some names of places to do the substitution exercises.
3. Practice
Pair work: Show Ss a map, and ask them to make up dialogues with their partner.
4. Conclusion
4.1 Make a review of the useful phrases and sentence patterns.
5. Assignment
5.1 Collect more phrases and sentence patterns about asking and showing directions as possible as they can
5.2 Recite these two sample dialogues
5.3 Make up and write down two new dialogues according to the sample dialogues.

8. Games: let’s see which group get most sugars! (游戏:看哪组得的糖果最多!)
Rules:(规则)
1. Suppose our classroom is a city, there are 13 places in this city. (假设教室是一个城市有13个地方的城市)
2. You are divided into 13 groups, the name of your group is the name of the place and each group has four sugars. (全班同学分成13组,每组的组名就是城市里面的一个地名,且每组平均有糖果4颗)
3. First discuss with your group members and make up new dialogues with your group member. (首先请大家与自己的组员进行讨论,编制有关问路的对话)
4. Then show your dialogue to the whole class. While student one student is showing the way, the other one should do what he has said. If he can get to the destination, he can get one sugar from that group. (然后,将你们的对话表演出来,当其中一个同学在说到替另一个同学指路时,另一个同学需按照他说的去走。如果能够走到目的地,就能从目的地的那一组拿走一颗糖果)
