Luo is from Meizhou, Guangdong Province. As a graduate of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Luo wa
7、s working on a graduation project using felt. His teacher advised him to think of community relationships. Then in April this year, Luo started his felt flower project.Luo wanted to help bring life to old buildings. He spent a lot of time designing colorful felt flowers to smooth over broken corners
8、 and walls. He said, “Some streets in the village are narrow, and the broken corners on the walls often get me hurt when I ride my bike. They can hurt children too.”Luo made felt flowers at home. Then he brought them to the broken areas. He stuck clay into the broken walls and put the flowers in the
9、 clay, and then he added green felt to make grass to help keep the flowers in place. After finishing the work, Luo sometimes went back to check if the felt flowers needed to be repaired.Now, Luos story has become popular online. He hopes that his felt flowers will hit more places in the future. He says, “Growing felt flowers will become a long-term creative plan.”
