Dancing on Fields
Dancing in front of hills, around trees, or on fields is what we usually see in cartoons. But it is what Ma Yue did in her everyday life while growing up.

Ma Yue is a girl from Duancun, a village in Hebei. When she was in the third grade, she heard that there would be a ballet program in her school. And for the first time, Ma Yue watched a ballet show. After seeing the show, she became interested in ballet and began practicing it.

Guan Yu and his wife Zhang Ping are the starters of the program. They wanted to help children in the countryside to learn ballet. Ma Yue’s school was the first school they went to. They drove 4 hours every Sunday to teach the students. The students looked forward to the ballet lessons and ran to meet the teachers every time they saw them coming.

In 2016, the Liaoning Ballet accepted young Ma Yue, making her the first in the group of girls to “go out” of the countryside. Her father says that the family was super excited at that time. And many parents started to think about putting their children in arts courses as a career move, not just as a hobby.

Ma Yue is 18 now. She, like her teachers, now goes to the countryside to teach ballet, too.

For students in the countryside, ballet is a way for them to build a better future. Learning ballet is also an experience of getting love from the teachers. And those who grow up with love will also love others around them.

Camping for a Vacation
What are your plans for a vacation? Do you want to visit hutongs in Beijing, or would you like to fly to Hong Kong for a shopping trip? And what about spending a week or two on the beaches in Hainan?
Well, none of these plans seem like a good idea right now. However, if you do need to get out to have some fun during the holiday, you can go camping.
Camping is always popular. One survey by VisitBritain found around 4,380,000 people go camping in Britain every year. With nothing but food, water, a tent, and a sleeping bag, you can enjoy an exciting experience — putting up a tent on your own, learning to make a fire, and even cooking for yourself. You’re free from rules, away from other people, and more importantly, you don’t have to worry too much about COVID-19 getting to you while having fun.
Camping is also a great way to relax and improve your well-being. When you are camping, you let go of all your problems in your day-to-day life, and the smell of dinner cooking over an open fire can help you to put your worries behind. And you can finally make peace with yourself.
So, if you really want to take time away from your studies and life, why don’t you spend a few peaceful nights under the moon and the stars in the countryside? With any luck, you may even see a few cute animals!
