Step2. Presentation
The teacher introduces daily activities and teaches the new words and phrases. From…to…, in the morning, first, chat with, have a good time.
Step3.Pre — reading
Go through the e-mail quickly and answer:
1. Who is Millie’s best friend?
2. What does Millie do at school?
Step4 While — reading
1. Passage 1 to 3. Listen and answer questions.

Step1 Revision
Ask the students some questions about their school lives.

Step2 Presentation
1. Show some pictures and present Millie’ school life. Let students introduce the activities in the pictures.
2. Let students read the passage and arrange the pictures in the time order.
3. Show more pictures and phrases, and let students say sentences about the pictures.
4. Do some exercises about these phrases. And fill in the blank with these phrases.
Step3 Practice
1. Create a real situation:
Tommy’s friend Joan is asking Tommy about Millie’s school day. Let students plete Tommy and Millie’s conversation. Students can use the phrases in Millie’s e-mail.
2.Check out the answers together, act the dialogue and choose the best group.
Step4 Showing
Do you think Millie’s school life is interesting? What about your school life? Can you say something about your day? Let students look at some notes and write about their day. Then work in groups of four and introduce their own day in whole class.

3. Show different pictures, introduce different usages of in, e.g. in March (month) in 2008(year) in winter (season)…
4. Show different pictures, introduce different usages of on, e.g. on 1st July 1997(date), on Friday(weekday)…
