31、the earth,the air and the waterPart(Section 4-5):the poet expresses his own state of mind and explores the relationship between the West Wind and himself.In this poem,the wind is more than simply a current of air.In Greek&Latin languages,the words for“wind”,“inspiration”,“soul”,and“spirit”are all re

32、lated.So,Shelleys“West Wind”seems to symbolize an inspiring spiritual power that moves everywhere,and affects everything.In this poem,Shelley tries to gain transcendence(超然存在,超越).The West Wind acts as a driving force change and rejuvenation(再生)in the human and natural world.Shelly views the winter n
