一、教学目标
1. 知识及技能目标
(1) 能听懂、会说、认读并正确抄写句子:
—What is it doing?
—It’s eating bananas.
—What is she doing?
—She is jumping.
(2) 能借助图片,抓住关键词,读懂文章
(3) 能运用所学阅读技巧,进行课外阅读。
(4) 根据所学句子What is…doing? He / She / It is …ing. 描写动物正在做什么。
2. 情感目标
让学生形成爱护动物,保护动物的意识。
二、 教学重难点
1、教学重点:能听懂、会说、认读并正确抄写句子:
—What is it doing?
—It’s eating bananas.
—What is she doing?
—She is jumping.
2、教学难点:
(1)能听懂,并认读句子 The elephant is drinking water with its trunk.
(2)运用所学阅读技巧进行课外阅读。
(3)运用ing形式描述动物正在做什么。

四、教学过程
(一)Pre-reading
1. Greetings
T: Hello, everyone. How are you?
Ss: I’m fine, thank you. And you?
T: I’m fine, too. Before our class, let’s chant together.
2. Let’s chant
Koalas are sleeping, sleeping, sleeping.
Kangaroos are leaping, leaping, leaping.
Two bears are fighting, fighting, fighting.
……
3. Groups divided
T: Super. The zoo is never boring, so is the forest. Today, I will take you to the forest. you are divided into tow groups: boys and girls. Let’s see who can save the lion.
4. Sharp-eyes
T: First, let’s see who has sharp eyes.

5. Task
T: Wonderful, you all have sharp eyes. When we are in the forest, use you sharp eyes to see what the animals are doing and describe what the animals are doing.
( 任务:观察动物正在做什么,并描述动物正在做的事).
(二)While-reading
1.Predict:How many animals?
T: Look,Sarah and Chen jie are in the forest too. Guess how many animal do they see?
2. Listen to the tape. Listen, circle the animals.
T: How many animals?
T: What are they?
Ss: Monkey, mother kangaroo, baby kangaroo, elephant.
3. Scan the text
T: What are they doing? Scan the text,under what the animals are doing. And then judge the sentences true or false.
Tip: 抓关键词
True or False
1. The mother kangaroo is sleeping.
2. The elephant is drinking water with its trunk.
T: Look at the monkey. What is it doing?
Ss: It’s eating bananas.
T: Can you write this sentence? Let’s write it together.
书写的时候要注意,以横线为四线三格的第三条线。句首要大写,句末要有标点符号。
T: What about the monkey kangaroo? Look at the first sentence (The mother kangaroo is sleeping.). True of false?
Ss: False.
T: So what is the mother kangaroo doing?
Ss: She is jumping.
T: Can you write down the sentence? Let’s write it together.
T: Look at the picture, which one is correct. The first one is correct.
T: Who is sleeping?
Ss: The baby kangaroo.
T: What is the elephant doing? Look at the second sentence (The elephant is drinking water with its trunk.). True or false?
Ss: True.
T: Look at the picture, which one do you want to choose?
Ss: The first one.
T: Yes, the elephant is drinking water with its trunk.
Do you know the meaning of trunk? Can you guess?
Ss: 鼻子
T: How can you know the meaning?
Ss: 根据图片判断。
Tip: 当我们遇到不懂的单词的时候,我们可以借助图片,还可以联系上下文,如果还不懂,我们还可以查字典。
Trunk means the elephant’s nose.
4. Detailed reading
T: Read the passage again, this time write the answers and the questions in P60.
Check the answers
T: The first one, boys ask and girls answer. The second one, girls ask and boys answer. The last one, the whole classes ask and then answer.
5. Listen to the tape. Listen, point and imitate.
6. Fast respond.
T: Sarah and Chenjie see four animals. But there are also many animals in the forest. Let’s see what they are doing? If you know, stand up and answer.
T: (呈现熊猫的图片)What is it doing?
Ss: It’s eating bamboos.

I love animals, they are all our friends.
1. T: Read the passage, and find out these animals. ( 阅读短文,在文章中找出黑板上的动物,划出他们正在做什么)
