THE HELP
What impressed me most in this film is what the colour heard in the church that saying “Courage is daring to do what is right in spite of the weakness of our flesh…If you can love your enemy, you already have the victory.”
I have to say it was absolutely not easy for the colour to forgive the unfair treatment and what the white had done to them. They’re good at cooking, singing and taking care of children. And they have a positive attitude to life and wise. Most of them are good “mother” than any of the white. What they deserved was not the discrimination on the colour, but applause and appreciation.
With the help of a writer Miss Skeeter, Aibileen and other maids were brave enough to tell their stories and willing to share them in her book.
“You is kind, you is smart, you is important.” This was what Aibileen told the little girl who she took care in the white’s house. And I thought she was also said to herself and to the other colour. They are kind, they are smart, they are important. So they should live with confidence and believe that they are not tacky as the white think.
