UNIT SIX WHAT’S THEIR FAVORITE GAME?
一、教材背景和学情分析
（一）点出本单元的话题和相关的语言知识；
本单元教学内容：本单主要以运动爱好为话题展开讨论。
本单元分别学习了英、美、加3个英语国家所流行的体育竞技活动。通过学习使学生了解3个国家的风土人情，文化背景。19课以询问人们喜爱什么样的体育活动的话题What’s their favorite game? It a rugby.为主线介绍了英国人喜爱的球类运动以及赛马比赛。20课介绍了美国人喜爱的体育运动和ＮＢＡ联赛，拳击赛在美国也是很流行的。主要功能句式：I know bowling is also very popular.And so is boxing.而21课主要介绍了加拿大的并上运动。谈论的话题是你最擅长什么能根据问句做出相应的回答的功能句式。What are you good at? We are good at…….. 通过功能话题We have the best figure skaters and the best ice hockey teams in the world. 的展示，使我们知道了加拿大的滑冰运动员和他们的冰球队在世界上是很出名的。
（二）相关内容的上位知识分析及结合上位知识分析确定的本单元的教学重；难点
通过第五单元的学习，学生对英国、美国和加拿大三国有了一些了解，所以在本单元的学习中应该不是很陌生。这个单元的学习主要是围绕体育活动展开的，所以在语音的表达上需要涉及的一些相关的词汇，在此之前学生们掌握了一些，例如：football, basketball, baseball, tennis 以及短语：play football, play tennis, play……等，这样为本单元的学习奠定了一等的基础。本单元21课询问某人对什么最擅长的功能句型：What are you good at ? We are gooa at……( be good at )在四年级下册已经学习过，这样在本单元的学习中就会较轻松。此外，还是21课中出现了谈论最高级的话题。We have the best……and the best….. in the world.在本册书第一单元中学生学习了比较级和最高级，在本单元中继续学习最高级的表达，学生也能够较轻松的学好。
本单元的重点是能和别人谈论体育活动的话题，就球类运动、体育竞技活动等进行询问或对别人的询问做出应答，并能根据对方的应答提出自己的建议。能对英、美、加3个国家人们所喜爱的体育运动进行简单介绍；
难点是会转述美国、加拿大等国的体育运动，在不同的情境中灵活运用句型。
（三）分析各课语言知识点之间的联系与整合；各单元间的铺垫与延伸
本单元三课书的内容各有个的不同，每个国家所流行的体育运动是不一样的，但是它们都是围绕体育活动来讲的，各有侧重，三课书即紧密联系，有相对独立，学生在学习时根据每课的要求来把握学习。
（四）本单元知识点、考点的梳理
1. 句式：
（1） 就表达人们喜爱的句式进行询问并做出正确回答。就这一句式进行操练时要注意物主代词的变化。
What’s their favorite game ?
Their favorite…….. or It’s rugby.
（2）就某一事物很受欢迎的表达。
I know bowling is also very popular. And so is boxing.
(3) 就某人最擅长什么的句式进行提问并能做出正确表达。
What are you good at?
We are good at…..
（4） 就什麽地方有什麽的句子进行表述。这个句式在进行操练时要注意be动词的正确使用。

(5) 最高级的表达。
We have ….best ….. in the world.

二、本单元具体教学目标：
1.学生能够正确流利地朗读课文；表演课文和转述课文。
2.了解英国、美国、加拿大的风土人情，文化背景及流行的体育竞技运动。在此基础上学生能够听懂、会在各种语境中表达人们喜好生活中的句型。 “What’s their favorite game? What are you good at? 能较熟练地回答。
3.能用“I know …Is also very popular. And so is …We have the best……… and the best……. In the world.”就个人爱好及相关背景进行讨论

LESSON 19 第1课时
一、教学内容：

Mike：The British people love sports.
Yangyang：What’s their favorite game?
Mike：It’s rugby. They also play football or soccer, tennis, and golf. They are all popular games. Many people also like riding horses. There are horse races every year.

二、教学目标：
（一）知识与技能目标：
1、能正确的理解课文内容，朗读课文，程度好的学生可以表演对话。
2、了解英国的文化背景和人们喜爱的体育活动，如，橄榄球、网球、马术等，能听懂会描述英国人喜爱的体育活动的功能句型，并能在生活情景中初步使用。

（二）过程与方法：
1. 通过ppt、图片等形式了解英国的文化背景、流行的体育活动来理解课文。
2. 通过跟读录音、pair wok ，使学生能够正确朗读课文
3. 根据老师出示的短语，学生就英国的体育活动进行描述。
4. 通过看PPT图片操练功能句型、伙伴交流、汇报展示等方法，使学生能够听懂会说人们喜爱的功能句，并根据教师给出的短语在实际情景中初步学习使用。
5. 四会词汇借助语音，拼读、等训练方法，达到听说读写的程度。

（一）Warming-up
活动一: 头脑风暴
活动目标：激活学生原有的球类运动的词汇。
实施方法与师生语言预设：
1. 学生说出相关球类单词: football basketball pingpong baseball tennis badminton golf soccer…..
T: Look at these words, I say play football you say …… (老师给出例词)
S: football-----play football basketball-----play basketball baseball-----play baseball……
设计意图：复习学过的单词和词组，为下面学习文章做铺垫。
（二）Presentation and practice:
活动一:学习新句型。What ‘s their favorite game? It’s rugby.
活动目标：学生能够初步感知某人最喜欢什么样的运动的句型，即话题的引入。
实施方法与师生语言预设：
1. 老师做动作，并进行描述：
T: What’s their favorite game? It’s football. ( My favorite game is football.)
2. 让学生做动作，问学生：
T: What’s their favorite game?
学生做动作后仿照老师的例子回答。
S: I am basketball. …
3.小组合作，循环式问问题。
S1:What ‘s their favorite game?
S2: It’s……..
设计意图：通过设置不同语境，让学生在口语练习中体会功能句型的用法。为引出课文做准备。
3. 拓展练习，形容词性物主代词的用法
ppt 出示不同人称的图片，引导学生选用适当的形式造句

设计意图：进行人称扩展练习，让学生充分掌握此句型的用法，同时加强形容词性物主代词与人称的搭配练习，突破本课重点及难点。
活动二：ppt、听录音学习新课文。
活动目标：初步感知课文内容，锻炼学生的听力，理解课文内容，并能熟练朗读。
实施方法与师生语言预设：
1. ppt，使学生了解英国的文化背景和风土人情、以及英国人喜爱的体育运动
2. 听录音，回答问题
T: Listen to the tape ,answer questions.(听2遍课文)

there are 后面的名词用复数如：There are so flowers in the park.
出示单词favorite popular. 分音节带读。请学生观察变化规律。

3. 老师带领学生精读课文解释重点句。
(1) The British people love sports.
British 注意它的词性，是形容词：英国的、不列颠的：The British people love football. ( English--- England, Britain---British )

4. 再听一遍录音. 同学跟读，注意语音语调学生在回答中反复记忆重点句与课文。

5. 开展Group Work，再找两组学生进行练习

5. 组织学生进行竞赛看看谁能表演对话。对于表演好的学生教师进行奖励。
设计意图：通过听录音，学生感知课文内容，掌握本课的四会单词理解认读单词，朗读课文。
（三）Production
活动名称：找朋友
活动目标：对本节课所学重点句型进行扩展练习
实施方法与师生语言预设：
老师提前准备好两种卡片，一种为人称，一种为行为动词或短语，让学生自由组合，并写出来，看谁在最短的时间内找到的朋友最多。（老师给出例句）
T: I have two kinds of cards. Please everyone choose a card and find out your partner, then let’s have a look who can find many more. Please write down your sentences.

设计意图：通过扩展训练让学生充分掌握功能句式的应用，同时加强be动词的变化，突破本课的难点。

1. ppt出示图片学习新的单词。

3. Pair work
两个同学做练习创编对话，教师巡视指导，给有困难的同学一些提示帮助。之后，学生做展示，教师纠正并给与奖励。

1.请学生快速默读三个句子，初步了解句子的内容。

实施方法与师生语言预设：
1.老师提前准备好几幅图，让学生根据刚才的小故事对新的图片以组为单位进行短文创编。

2.学生对所创编的对话进和展示
