Sample 1

Universities in China, especially those famous universities have experienced / seen / witnessed / evidenced a remarkable / notable / noticeable / striking development in the past few years. Now visiting famous universities has become a new option /choice for tourists.
But when it comes to the question whether the university should be open to tourists or not, answers vary widely. Some people hold that they should be allowed to visit university campus. First, it can cultivate / develop their interest and enlarge / widen their scope of knowledge. Second, it can enable them to have / gain access to famous professors, artists, scientists and so on. What’s more, to those high school students, this visit will stimulate / encourage them to study harder. However, some other people argue that the university campus should not be open to tourists for it will destroy the academic atmosphere in the campus and lead to disorder of daily routine there.
From my point of view, I’m in favor of the idea that university campus should be open to tourists. On the one hand, this will allow tourists to know what we are doing here and the importance of higher education. On the other hand, it will make us pay more attention to our own behavior and try to do our best every minute.
In a word, I prefer to have our campus opened to tourists. (14)

Some people believe tourists can benefit a lot from campus tour. Young tourists can take a close look at the university which they are longing for. Furthermore, a good university is often the symbol of the culture of a city. Therefore, tourists may not only enjoy the beautiful campus but also benefit from its rich culture.
Others argue that university campus should be open to tourists since it’s not a scenic spot. The university campus is a place for education. Students who study and live on campus need a quiet and calm campus life. Furthermore, tourists are likely to cause safety problems on campus if thieves take advantage of the opening of the university.
In my point of view, I don’t think that university campus should be open to tourists since after all it is a place mainly for education. In order to create a calm and safe environment for university teachers and students, the university campus should be closed to tourists. (14 points)

Nowadays some famous university campuses have become popular tourist spots. The long history of them and the modern construction of library or dormitory both attract many people to come for a good look.

It is controversial whether collages should be open to the outside. Some think those tourists’ coming would likely interrupt the normal lives of collage students, and the main responsibility of universities is to teach. But others think it’s a waste of good sights for those beautiful campuses not to be opened to tourists.
In my opinion, these campuses can be open, but that must be limited. We should give those collagers the priority, because actually the campus mainly belongs to them. However, it would be a real pity for others not to feel the atmosphere in the campus, so we should give them the chance, too. (9 points)

It has been shown on TV and on the radio that every year thousands and thousands of middle school students visit Tsing Hua University and Peking University and other famous universities in China. So far as the present situation is concerned, is it a good or bad thing to open the university campus for tourists? Different people have different opinions. On one hand, some people argued that it is a good thing for the students to visit the famous university campus in that it can enable the middle students to get more information about the university and they can have enough time and opportunity to prepare themselves with the chance to get into the university. On the other hand, some people hold a negative view about this phenomenon. In their opinion, the public tourism will have negative effect on the universities because it will not only do harm to the environment but also to the intellectual atmosphere.
In my opinion, the tourism to the universities is not a good thing. The campus is mainly a place for study. With the increasing tourism on the campus, it will ruin the spiritual atmosphere in this learning field.

12月四级改卷工作已彻底结束。和往年评分原则同样，对作文分为如下几种级别进行打分：0分，2分，5分，8分，11分，14分。教师评分重要是进行GLOBAL READING，也就是进行整体给分，不是仔细推敲给分。鉴于此状况，本人就本次考试旳某些作文应试注意事项告知人们，但愿对人们考试旳作文部分有所协助。
1．      人们拿到作文题目之后，先要仔细阅读题目明确作文旳类型。这一点是非常核心旳由于四级相对很强调作文旳构造。如果没有一种很清晰旳构造，一定会失去一定旳分数。四级作文一般有下面三种构造：阐明文议论文和应用文写作。阐明文重要可以分为论述主题类型旳，利弊类型旳，因素成果类型旳，解决问题类型旳以及谚语阐明类型。
2．      议论文重要是就观点进行辩驳类型旳。
3．      应用文写作重要涉及演讲词，求职求学信，邀请信，感谢信和投诉信等。因此人们必须在平时复习旳过程明确多种类型旳写作构造，这样在考试时候就可以在构造上不会浮现任何问题，也不会由于写跑题而失分。
4．      开始写作文时一定要段落清晰，有明显旳开头，主体和结论部分。也就是人们要学会分段落，不要象记流水帐同样，一段究竟，这样就会给教师留下很坏旳印象。同步在文章写作过程中，一定要学会使用某些句子之间以及引起和结束文章时候旳连接词，这样旳话可以使文章很自然，流畅。例如在写文章主体旳时候可以用一方面，另一方面，再次这样旳连接词，或者一方面，另一方面，等这样旳词。这些都是很容易引起教师旳注意，可以得分旳地方。
5．      写文章时候尽量多用某些四级词汇，这样也可以提高教师旳印象。但不是说你用旳词诸多，而写出旳句子构造，语法错误太多。这样也会很糟糕旳。因此人们一定要注意，如果自己词汇不怎么多旳时候，你不要用自己不明确和不会拼写旳词，尚有一定要保证句子旳对旳性，尽量避免语法构造旳错误。虽然你使用旳简朴句，但是写旳很清晰，没任何错误，也可以得到不错旳分数。
6．      注意文章旳长度安排，短旳作文一定是不可以旳，也就是字数要达到规定。但是长旳作文如果几乎每句话均有错误也不能得到好旳分数。因此人们一定要注意，写旳时候要长度适中，保证写出旳句子错误很少，虽然观点只是很一般，没什么新旳地方。也能得到相对好旳分数。
7．      卷面一定要整洁，字一定要写旳美丽，这可以在很大限度上影响你们分数旳升降。印象分数几乎所有是这个决定旳，因此人们也要重要平时HANDWRITING旳练习。
上面就我对人们旳某些建议，但愿对各位同窗有协助，能较好旳通过下次旳四级考试。

　　Women play an important part in modern society. Now many women are going into professions, such as medicine, law and engineering. They comprise a large part of the workers in businesses and factories. In addition, they are working up to important positions which used to be held mainly by men. There are even some businesses which are run completely be women. Clearly, women are making outstanding contributions to the progress of modern society.
　　There are, However, still some people who assert that men are superior to women in many ways. First, many jobs men do can hardly be done by women, who are physically not strong enough. Second, most of the world-famous scientists and statesmen are found to be males. Finally, the whole society seems to have always been dominated by men only. In their opinion, men should enjoy more rights than women do.
　　Personally, I'm firmly standing on the side of those woman right defenders. Since both men and women are equally important in human activities, they should be on an equal footing. (173 words)
