⑵正反观点
1 There is no agreement/ consensus among people as to the issue of …. Some people hold that… while others hold that…. From my point of view, it is more advisable to support the first opinion rather than the second one. The following reasons can account for my inclination.
2 Recently, there is a bitter/fierce controversy about/over the issue of x. Some people are in favor of the idea of doing x. However, other people stand on a different ground. They consider it harmful to do x. they firmly point out that…. There might be some element of truth in these people’s belief. But if we think it over further, we can find the first statement seems more reasonable.
3 There is a public/general/heated/impassioned debate/discussion/controversy today as to/over/on/concerning the issue/problem of…. Those who criticize/oppose/object to…contend/argue/believe/claim that…. But people who advocate/favor/are for…, on the other hand, maintain/assert that…
