3、nd listening skills as well as confidence in speaking during the 11 weeks (200 class hours) teaching term. By the end of the course, students should be able to make basic Chinese sentences and deal with a variety of everyday situations. ◆ Teaching Method Lectures will be held in the morning and tu
4、torial/practice sessions in the afternoon. Important grammar points encountered in the class texts will be reviewed and students will divide into two groups to practice the material studied with the help of their teacher。 ◆ Attendance Students are required to be punctual and present for each cla
5、ss and not to leave earlier than required. Being late or early leaving for three times is treated as absence from the class for one time, the penalty for which is 1 mark deducted from the test score. Doctor’s proof is needed for absence for illness. Otherwise, 0.5 mark will be deducted for each time
