【学习目标】

【探究一】（分钟）
What’s the date? 本句意为“今天几号?”，是用来询问日期的表达法。其答语常用“It is+月+ 日”’的结构。读时日期要读序数词，且前面常读出定冠词the。
--What’s the date today? 今天几号?
--It’s August 29． 8月29号。

【探究二】（分钟）
：January is the first month of a year.
first 为序数词，意为“第一”。
序数词一般是以与之相应的基数词词尾加-th构成。
例如：fourth, tenth, eleventh. 但是，以下的基数词变为序数词时，要特别注意。
① 基数词one, two, three 的序数词分别是first, second, third需要特殊记忆，
因为它们与基数词在词形上没有什么联系。
② 以ve结尾的词，要把ve变成f再加th。例如：five---fifth, twelve---twelfth.
③ 以e结尾的词，去掉e再加th。例如：nine----ninth
④ 以t结尾的词，直接加h。例如：eight----eight
