13、through the words in the box with the whole class, having them repeat them chorally and individually. Pay particular attention to the words where the stress doesn’t fall on the first ayllable: competition, defeat. Step Three: Listening Play the type for the students to have them listen an

That’s a very good skill for listening that teachers need to teach their students. Step Four: Dialogue 1. Listen and read. Ask the students to fol
16、low the conversation in their books while teacher play the tape. 2. Complete the table. Then listen again and check. 3. Complete the sentences. 4. Read the sentences form the conversation. Say who the underlined words refer to. 5. Read the dialogue again in groups, the group members can help eac
17、h other to correct the pronunciations. Step Five: Grammar 1. Get the students work in pairs to find out the phrases in the dialogue. 2. Read the sentences and statements in Everyday English, and make sure everyone can understand it. 3. Do some exercise with the new vocabulary and grammar points.
