A team of scientists has discovered the worl’ds largest cave in Vietnam. The cave is so large it has its own ecosystem (生态系统) and weather system.
The cave is located in the heart of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, and is over five miles long and 650 feet high. It is so big that it has a jungle, a river, and even a cloud system inside. In fact, the cave is so large that it has its own weather system, with clouds and fog forming in the cave.

It was first discovered by a local man in 1991, but it was not fully explored until a team of British and Vietnamese scientists wenton an expedition in 2009. The cave is called Hang Son Doong, which means “Mountain River Cave”. It was formed 2-5 million years ago by the erosion of limestone 石(灰岩) caused by a river.
