1、《定语从句复习及运用》教学案例 海口市第一中学英语组 钟玉芳 一、教材简介 定语从句是高中阶段重点学习的语法项目,也是高考常考的语法点。虽然涉及定语从句用法的条目林林总总,但从题目的设置来看,总带有一定的普遍现象,即一些经常遇到的且高中生必须掌握的知识,在试题中反复出现,因此高中阶段的语法教学主要以归纳、比较、系统分类、突出重点为主。 二、设计理念 1、本节课内容学生已学过并且基本掌握,但教学活动相对较多,为了顺利完成教学目标,提高学生参与的积极性,课前先布置学生以小组为单位查阅资料,并做相关的练习,复习定语从句,课上交流、展示。 2、整个教学活动设计中,运用归纳型语法教学,通
2、过情境创造、小组讨论、交流合作等形式循序渐进、环环相扣让学生理解和运用定语从句,同时激发学生学习兴趣,充分发挥学生积极主动性和团队合作精神,在合作学习中提高人文素质,掌握巩固知识。 3、教师始终以引导、组织者、学习者的身份参与活动,以积极的学习态度,及时有效的协调组织,引导课堂共创师生协同探讨的民主学习气氛。 三、教学对象分析 高二的学生,有比较扎实的基础和具备了一定的语言运用能力,但部分学生的语法学习能力比较薄弱,也不大参与语言实际活动。况且定语从句这一语法项目较难掌握,特别体现在关联词的选用上,所以学生常会有种畏惧心理,针对以上学情,我设计了一些课前练习,学生以此为线索探究归纳该语法
3、并在自主学习与合作学习过程运用所学知识。 四、教学目标 1)知识与技能 A、能掌握并正确运用由关系代词及关系副词引导的定语从句。 B、引导学生通过自主学习及小组交流合作,对所学语法进行总结、归纳。 C、提高语法在阅读、写作中的运用能力及日常生活中的交际运用能力。 2)过程与方法 A、以小组为单位复习定语从句,并在自主探究过程中共同提高人文素养。 B、学会通过书籍或其它渠道搜集有关定语从句语法资料,并归纳、完成相应练习。 3)情感态度与价值观:让学生在探究与自学中获得成功的体验,享受成功的喜悦,同时激发他们自主合作交流的热情和愿望,进而培养学生勇于善于交际和与他人合作的精神。
4、 教学重点、难点:复习、活用定语从句。 教学过程 Step1:导入 1、介绍教学目标。 2、在屏幕上呈现一大胖仔图片,并让学生完成2个句子,以此区别分析定语及定语从句。如: 1)She is a fat woman. 2)The fat woman who needs to lose weight is my aunt. (设计意图:图片引入能为学生提供一个更好更轻松的学习氛围,调动学习热情,激活已有信息) Step 2:定语从句连接词归纳及运用 1、教师通过步步设问形式检查学生课前定语从句复习情况并归纳如下:连接词:关系代词— that,
5、 which,who,whom,whose,as 关系副词— when,where,why 2、个别提问已做练习,检查学生理解运用关系代词及关系副词程度,如: 1) I will never forget the days (that/which)we spent together. I will never forget the days when we stayed together. 、 3、给学生2分钟口头交流事先根据要求所造的定语从句,然后依次展示。如:English teacher (who)----English t
6、eacher is a person who is teaching English in school. film ( whose ) / Zhang Yimou ( who ) park ( in which ) / Yao Ming ( whom) school ( where) / the reason (why ) library ( that ) / Spring Festival ( when ) [设计意图:新教材倡导教学活动必须尊重学生已有的认识水平和知识经验,体现学生学习的过程,是在教师引导下的自我构建和生成的
7、过程。此外,学生相互的交流、合作可以促进资源共享,调动学生的参与积极性] Step 3:定语从句种类的区别与归纳 1、学生齐读2个句子,并说出限制性定语从句与非限制性定语从句的差异。如: 1. My father who is working in Shanghai will come back tomorrow. 2. My father ,who is working in Shanghai , will come back tomorrow. [设计意图:让学生通过观察,对比句子,悟出差异,这有助于培养学生的辩析能力] Step 4:典型考点例析 1、学生课前预习并做完4

[设计意图:语法规则常常是按条条框框教下去的,这样容易使学生产生一个错觉,以为语法就是为考试用,是死的,要死记硬背记。教师有意识地把学习语法的目的引导到阅读和写作上,使学生有机会在实践中运用,并能体会语法的生命力及在言语中的作用。这大大提高了学生的学习积极性,从而掌握活用语法] Step 6:作业安排 1、请学生模仿所给的范文写一篇人物介绍,并在合适的地方用上所复习的内容——定语从句。如: 选择你最喜欢的一位人物,用英语写一篇80词左右的短文。要求根据所给信息作适当发挥,且需包括以下三部分内容:(在合适的地方用上定语从句) 1、对该人物的简单介绍; 2、喜欢该人物的理由; 3、从该人物身上得到的启示。 [设计意图:这部分内容要求学生课上先口头交流,课后整理。这是对课堂内容的整理、深化和延续]
