（一） 正反观点阐释型
On the Spring Festival Gala
There is no complete agreement among people as to the Spring Festival Gala. Some people consider that it suits most audiences’ taste. However, others maintain that it should be cancelled.

Some people may say that the four-hour-long programs will make some people feel a bit bored. They hold this opinion for the reason that the forms of most programs are familiar to the audiences, which lack originality. Nonetheless, others believe that, to some extent, it is the Spring Festival Gala that adds to fun and make a happy festival atmosphere. They argue that cross talks and other comic performances always bring people a lot of laughter.

Personally, I prefer the former opinion. For one thing, many people still have a strong feeling about it. For another, it involves all kinds of programs, most of which are relaxing and exciting. Taking the above-mentioned into consideration, I may reasonably draw a conclusion that the Spring Festival Gala is still a significant part of the New Year’s Eve.

What Electives to Choose
Currently, many universities are opening various electives for students to choose, which has aroused great concern. Optional courses provide a good chance for the students to make better use of their spare time.

There are many factors deciding what electives the students choose. Among all these factors, the interests of the students plays a decisive role. Moreover, many students will consider whether they can learn some practical skills through the electives. Besides, the ability and the prestige of the teacher who teaches the electives will also influence the students’ choice. Consequently, it is no wonder that different students may choose different optional courses.

For my part, I choose history as one of my electives, because not only can it enrich my knowledge but also will it open up my horizons. In a word, different electives own different topics, so electives should be chosen according to our own needs.
