1. Ask the students to read the new words first, and then pick up things around them to ask “What’s this/that in English?
“How do you spell it?

2. Ask students to finish 1a by themselves.

1. Show them a chart with possessive pronouns. And then explain to them the differences between the two different kinds of pronouns.

2. Show them sentences to demonstrate the differences.

Read the words all together and then answer “It’s a/an ….”

Spell the words.

Students are asked to read their answers.

Read after me.

Listen to me carefully.

Watch carefully and take notes.

Ask several students to read.

Copy the conversations in 1b and make three conversations

Answer with “Yes, it is. It’s mine./ No, it isn’t. It’s his/hers/yours.

Ss are asked to answer the questions one by one.
